I have few rosettes in my adulthood so I simply pop them onto the edges of professional framed piccies I have. Obviously when Paddy wins a whole host of rosettes this summer I shall have to think of a new way of storage
As a kid I had them blue tacked over walls and on insides of wardrobes but not sure thats a very crafty idea. What about framing your fave ones in those glass boox style frames you can get from habitat?
I've not got any dividing walls etc so can't do that
was considering somehow putting picture hooks in the wall and attatching some ribbon or something to it and hanging them off there, but that takes effort
Chucked in the back of the lorry, and err up in the attic
I saw a really nice display of rosettes the other day, in an extremely large picture frame they had kind of made a collage out of them, it was really effective.
FIL has just made daughter a large frame which hangs from a nail on the wall in her bedroom, it has 4 or 5 cross spars of dowelling set in to the frame about 3 inches apart, and she hooks the rosettes over the dowelling. Looks great, she just needs a few more rosettes..
Pea netting (or similar) on a wall, or garden trellis, net curtains are excellent for hanging hooked ones on to as well.
Pin boards don't work so well nowadays, because most rosettes come with hooks and they have to be flattened to be able to pin a rosette decently. Anyway, you can't get many on a board.
When I was making large numbers of rosettes and had to store them before shipping, I hooked them on ribbons so that I had, sometimes, hundreds of rosettes dangling from my ceilings.
If you loop plaiting bands in a "chain" you can danglr it from a hook or strtch between 2 hooks & hook on the rosettes. Has the advantahe that you can make the length for the rosettes you have & make it longer as you win more. Also very cheap!
