Withholding water - what's the thinking behind that?
Tbf I’m unlikely to want to feed the dogs after midnight! I expect it depends what time they do the surgeries in the practice? Mine is after morning clinic.Interesting, my vet's advice is no food after midnight, very similar to the regime I had before surgery on my broken leg.
So they don’t play in the bowl and drench the bed?Withholding water - what's the thinking behind that?
I hope I’m only saying what I do, not slamming others for their choices! I’m sure we all aim to have healthy pups at the end of the day.? love raising a puppy threads, they are as controversial as discussions about raising babies.

Seriously? You must deal with some very damaged dogs. None of mine have ever ended up with any issues with drinking. So as well as being unfair to withhold water overnight, it can also create behaviour issues ( resource guarding water/ over drinking when access is given). There will be lots of people who say its ok and their dog was fine, but it's really not ok to withhold water for convenience.

I think perhaps everyone is overthinking this issue.
