My friends daughter was judging the working bit** classes in the BASC ring. Not bad for her first judging appointment

I was watching earlier and I’m sure I saw st least one docked spaniel . Maybe it had been injured. Actually it was the demo , so maybe allowed there .

Friend and I were discussing some of the collars used , particularly the fine chains up behind the ears . Yet in the KC Good citizens test you aren’t allowed to use check chains . Somewhat double standards there .

Oh wow, congratulations. My niece was very taken with the Schipperkes. She had to visit them twice on the DD stand.

I have the video leading up to that photo, the out and back and that free stand was all on a lead that loose. I hate to see them strung up and suspect most is done to conceal poor movement. And if it can't stand itself without looking like a sack of potatoes...

There was one (international entry) dog run out ahead of the handler on a long lead like a GSD.

The GSD was spun because the vet deemed she was "too extreme for the public". Whatever your view on modern GSDs I do not feel this is a decision a vet should make. I have now seen a video of her in the BoB challenge and she was calm, sound and not imo extreme.

I saw a photo of this dog and thought if vets don't stand up to the extreme breeding of these dogs, then who will? Considering the judges seem to encourage the weird backend and everyone is defending it saying a dog should not be pulled up on confirmation. I used to be on a yard 15 years ago where a lady looked after breeding gsd dogs for the met police. They were breeding the straight backs back in then.

Chuffed to bits with my Rafi, 2nd place in the AV retriever dog class (excluding Labrador), in a class of about 27! Even with his shaved patches

Absolutely shattered. Awaiting the Keepers final in main ring.

Mimi won both her classes, following in her Mums pawprints.

Aspen went Best Puppy Dog in breed.

The rest of the crew did fabulous as well winning or placing in all their classes.

Got sent some photos by a friend, hubs was too busy chatting We were a bit rubbish at getting photos this year so hoping there was a pro around the ring
