Cushion Bed Horse bedding

Hi. has anyone used CushionBed horse bedding before. www.bedding-for-horses.co.uk I am a new owner of a couple of ponies and currently looking to change from wood shavings, for cost and eliminating any dust issues in the stable.

hi yeah i use it and i was a real fan of shavings but changed to this last year as shavings getting really expensive and i love it!! i skip everyday x2 and take the wet out once a week i find it easier to use etc too

How does it compare to Easibed or Aubiose? Just curious as I was an Aubiose fan, but since the factory burnt down the price has gone up more than £2 per bag so have gone back to shaving for now.

I was going to order easibed but with fuel prices they have added on a surcharge, so not quite the price i was hoping for. With cusion bed, can you skip and take out wet everyday. does it still work ok...

In my experience easibed and cushion bed are the same product just different prices from different manufacturers. I love the cushion bed and find it less dusty than savings as well as being cheaper, big plus for me is that it does not stick to everything like shavings do. I muck mine out properly every day though as I do with any bedding as I cannot stand deep or semi deep litter bedding.

think it is one of those bedding types you either love or hate. it doesnt work well as a very thin sprinkling on rubber mats though, you do still need to do a bed imo

Echo MrsT, doesn't work well as a 'sprinkle' bedding, but is fab when used as a proper bed.
I take the wet out from mine daily.

most of our liveries are now on this and love it, we have been using it for maybe 3 years or more now.
i must disagree about the sprinkling onto rubber matting - a few days ago i would have agreed with you but i brought in one of my broodmares yesterday to keep on of the others company (who is due to foal anyday!) andas i have just power washed my mats etc there was no bed down, i grabbed a bag of cushionbed, banked it at the sides and put a sprinkle down in the middle, and its actually worked fab for a few days now! BUT, i think this must be one of the only horses it would work with as another the others, well, they are messy and it just wouldnt have worked!
