CP and I got a wildcard for the Dressage Masters Prelim Final after finishing 5th at the semi-final, but Mr W and Arthur qualified directly for the Elementary final following their 4th place in the semi-final!
My lovely head teacher allowed me to swap days and so Monday evening I came home straight from work got changed, managed a quick lesson on CP, this was followed by car-packing and frantic tack cleaning, then put mini-W to bed at my parent's house before rounding up the feral filly and bundling her and Diva into the trailer to drop them off at the vets, then screeched to Asda still with the trailer attached to do a quick food shop! Fell into bed with a million things spinning round my head!!!!!!
Yesterday morning saw me up early to get them both ready. Arthur was dragged in first and dumped in his stable in an attempt to fool him that it was a 'normal' day CP was then dragged in from the field looking brown, green and white
I promptly began operation deep clean and eventually a very cross cob looked white and brown..

I deliberately left Arthur till the last possible minute as he tends to turn into a piaffing monster then minute the first plait goes in, however in a bizzare twist CP took on the roll of fidget bum and demonstrated a passable attempt at piaffe under the solariam and eventually looked like this...

Worryingly Mr Antsinhispants was super chilled making question if living out at night had overdone the 'chill' factor!
With military precision and planning, which involved replacing the partitions removed for the transport of one feral filly and Diva, we loaded up and pretty much left on time

We left plenty of time as traffic works on the M25 and M23 could have delayed us but in actual fact we sailed through and arrived ridiculously early so dropped the ramp and CP's excitement was evident...

Had a quick look at the warm-up and then promptly wished I hadn't
watched a lovely horse and thought it must be doing the Novice and then sadly watched it go in and do the prelim and started wailing and whining
I then proceeded to got an ear bashing by Mr W and quite rightly so, I seem to have forgotten just how far I have come
So duly put in my place I went back to being nervous instead
Then the family arrived and took over the lorry park so in between ordering Mr W and my dad around and stopping mini-W (aged 3) and cousin W (aged 4) running riot and trying to climb into the brand new Oakley next to us I forgot to crap my pants!
Got on CP and went round to the warm-up and went through my usual warm-up drill.
Some pictures...

I was a little overawed at one point especially with big flashy horses passaging past but I did reel myself in and got some lovely work in the end
Went round to my test arena and bless her she went a little green on me and went a little tense, she boggled at the signs and flower pots but once she went past one she was fine... Phew
It was the best test we have done together so far and I was really chuffed with her and me. We got 6's and 7's all the way through with lovely comments which were spot on. 64.09% and 14th out of 21. Bearing in mind we only got a wildcard I was over the moon. I was hoping for a 65% but I dropped marks in the free walk and got 6's where we usually get a 7 or an 8. We have only competed at prelim where as the majority of other horses are already established at Novice, also I only did my first BD prelim with her in March so to achieve what we have done so far is fabulous and to do get +64% at a championship is brilliant
Miraculously Mr W also developed some semi-passable photo skills and took a couple which actually have me vaguely in focus without any major body parts of horse or rider lopped off!

My lovely little coblood is so reliable and consistent and I wouldn't swap her for the world
She is what she is but what I love the most is she gives me 200% I also got to wear my lovely new Pikeur jacket from Dressage Deluxe - I've finally slimmed down enough to buy off the peg
Finally a pic with my biggest supporter which also shows you her conformation faults beautifully
