Was cleaning a GP saddle I never really use today and noticed there’s d rings at the back/side of the saddle above the panel - never used them myself and wondering what exactly they’re used for?
Traditionally, Sandwich box, saddle bag, spare stirrup leathers, wire cutters…
Crupper. My minds gone blank but there or still is a thing that gos round the tail and attached there to stop saddle slipping forwards

Love this saddle bag!I sometimes roll up a long coat and attach it to those D rings, and I have a banana bag that can attach to them. Not the same as the one below, but similar.
