Dangerous stallion?

I haven't read all the replies so not sure what the situation is but she needs to take action against the owner of the stallion. This is a life changing injury and she will need all the help she can get, especially if her job entails using the hand as this would/could class as a permanent disability.

Breaking all our hearts, he's such a special boy to us (rescued and fully rehabbed) but he's just so so strong to ride and she won't be able to ride him with one hand.
He loves his job too (race riding rather than graded) so even though I would love to have him, pottering around hacking would bore the poor boy to death 😢

He needs to be out showing off, prancing about and doing what he loves to do ❤️

Nothing more they can do, might be surgical options later down the line but it will depend on if she gets any feeling/movement back etc.

They put a rod on, but it wasn't doing anything, cast taken off as they want to encourage movement where possible. Been in and out of surgery more times than I can count to try and sort. But there's nothing to connect to anything. Just all shredded and bones are crushed.
Scary what a horse can do with its teeth eh 😳
 
Oh and currently has kidney stones 😳 so pretty painful.
But the worst part is how debilitating it is for her 😢

Unbelievable how someone can ride and train crazy Arabs over some of the most difficult terrains and races, yet one split second of that horse deciding to attack has completely changed her life ☹️

Glad it’s being investigated but my goodness, that hand looks awful. Your poor poor friend. Hope she’s managing with her child and life in some sort of way. Sad to hear she’s having to sell her horse. What a terrible situation. I hope she gets compensation and her wee mare is doing good.
 
Just updating on T. Still no feeling or use of hand, they've been pretty blunt and said they even if they went in and re-broke it to straighten, it's such an utter mess internally chances of it healing right/getting any use is slim to none.

So that's it, life changed, amputation still a potential risk. She's riding, albeit with one hand and bridged reins but her body has had such trauma it's taking a toll. Some of the horses are adapting to her riding one handed, some are not 😢 so due to her now permanent disabilities and a couple of them being extremely hot headed, some will be going up for sale. Which is heart breaking but have to be realistic, chances of her being well or strong enough to train 4 endurance horses is incredibly slim, and they are not the kind of horses that can sit in the field until she's ready, they'll go bonkers.

So, adaption to her new life is the next step, finding the right homes so the horses can go out and continue to be the endurance racing superstars they are.

In terms of what's happening with stallion/police/etc, can't say at the mo

She's lame 😔 and causing absolute havoc being out of work, she needs to be busy. Lameness is mechanical (she completely detached a flexor tendon years back, vet removed and T did tons of physio to get her to learn to bring the hoof forward herself) so she's not in any pain etc just looks a bit off on hard ground.
She's got amazing bloodlines (not exaggerating, she was up for 20k as a yearling ...) pure Egyptian Arab from all the greats. So potential for her to be a broodmare, if she settles into that life. Scars from the attack kind of put an end to the showing side 😔

Livery life, small fields, in a lot. Isn't suiting her out of work, so trying to find a situation that fits her, she won't go just anywhere as she's very special
