Dangerous stallion?

She's lame 😔 and causing absolute havoc being out of work, she needs to be busy. Lameness is mechanical (she completely detached a flexor tendon years back, vet removed and T did tons of physio to get her to learn to bring the hoof forward herself) so she's not in any pain etc just looks a bit off on hard ground.
She's got amazing bloodlines (not exaggerating, she was up for 20k as a yearling ...) pure Egyptian Arab from all the greats. So potential for her to be a broodmare, if she settles into that life. Scars from the attack kind of put an end to the showing side 😔

Livery life, small fields, in a lot. Isn't suiting her out of work, so trying to find a situation that fits her, she won't go just anywhere as she's very special
That is so sad to hear. Really hope she can find a nice sympathetic home. So hard to know what to do for such a lion hearted little soul. Especially one that saved your life. My heart goes out to your friend.

Maybe given a bit of time she will settle anyway to a new way of life where she is. I really do hope so. Please give your friend my best.

She's a funny one, was looking after them all today with assistance from T's daughter, she's just one of these horses that buzzes with life but then will do things like be led out like a puppy ... it's so hard to know what to do for the best ☹️

I've just looked at her breeding. Fabulous lines. Would your friend consider selling her to a reputable Egyptian Arabian breeder?

That's an option being looked into, the lines are insane. I remember when she bought her as a youngster and having a passport thrust at me and asked to do a bit of digging and see what I could find out about the lines ... I think my jaw hit the floor 🤣 all she told me was the breeder was giving her at a much discounted price as she wanted some of her horses out competing in endurance to prove they could, as it was mainly considered "show" lines. I didn't even see a picture before she arrived, so when she (flew!!) off the lorry (decided to try and land in someone's arms 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣) I was just stood there like, how on earth did you afford her?!
T didn't care about the lines, just wanted a clean/healthy young Arab to produce.

I had to convince her several times over that her grandsire was in fact the Arab Breyer horse model ... so known worldwide 😂😂 I still don't think she completely believes me ..
So she's always got a future in breeding secured, which may be enough to keep her happy and busy bossing a herd around etc

Love her ❤️

Everything an Arab should be - fierce and brave enough to go to war for you, calm enough to live in your tent.

I hope she can find a solution.

Updating ...

So the scars are pretty horrific 😳😳
She's got nerve damage in both hands/arms, still trying to work out why the other arm is affected but it's potentially from her neck/spine. Her bad wrist is terrible, they've done ops but there's now a bone sticking out on the top and she's got no range of movement or feeling so having to get it looked at privately to find out if anything can be done.
Pain is increasing too.

NHS answer to the issues is morphine (she's got bad kidneys - hardly going to help!) and physio. 🙄

She's riding and getting back on her feet. But the impact it's had on her is awful ☹️

I am allergic to perfume so can't use Bio-oil. I have been using Ilex Wood BooBoo Balm on the scars on my leg from where the rings were attached and they truly are disappearing before my eyes. Sorry I tried to.provide a link but couldn't for some reason. I buy it through Amazon but think they have their own website too.

Your poor friend I'm sorry its not better news about her arm, so sad she may have to sell some horses so unfair I hope she manages to find good homes for them, good endurance horses are normally quite easy to sell at least.

The mare has got lovely breeding I think if you find a big field with a nice herd she will probably be fine, it's probably because her routine is different and she is not used to it at the current yard.

I am so sorry. I am sending all the vibes I can for your friend's healing. It is horrible that she might have to let that lovely mare go, that fought for her, and is so gentle with her daughter.

I really, really hope that something has been done about that stallion. Incredibly dangerous next to a footpath.

Barbed wire fences are horrid things. Ive got a big 11yo csection scar but Id say its faded more than my 30 yr old barbed wire fence scars when I fell off on one as a kid!

Is there any update on the stallion? Has anything been done?

Nothing as of yet, it looks as if it's been put in the barn so at least not loose near the footpath
