***Daughter and Dolly - HAPPY 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!***

Both looking fab. I've enjoyed following their progress together so keep posting :-) x

Thank you!!!

Congratulations, can't believe its 2 years already. Looks like they are doing great together

I know, the saddest part is, I'm 2 years older and it's gone sooooo fast!!!

absolutely FABULOUS !!! :D

Thanks! Another friendly face who's been with me all the way! :D

This is really lovely. Have been following your reports since day 1. Well done to everyone involved. Here is to many more happy years to come. :)

Thank you!! Many many years hopefully!!! I can't go through the trauma of another pony for at least a few more years!!!

Aw they look like a great team, congratulations :)

Thank you!!!

I can't believe it's two years either - bloomin heck, time flies when you spend your life on HHO

Aint that the truth!!

And guess what!!! I LEARNT HOW TO MULTI QUOTE REPLY!!!! WOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Been wondering how you do that for ages!!! :D

Wowee, two years has gone so fast! I'm endlessly impressed by how much progress daughter is making every time you update- her jumping is brilliant! And I love the last photo :)

They look like a great partnership- really relaxed with each other.

Aww thank you!!!!

She's having the time of her life, and so am I in sharing it with her.

I'll remember these years forever. Was watching Toy Story 3 the other days and got myself upset when Andy leaves home and packs all his toys away :( (yes, it might be the hormones that!!!) then I remembered that I'll still have Dolly if daughter does that!! yey!!! :D

:D

Where's her union jack jacket from, I love it

It's lovely isn't it!

Some dodgy Thailand ebay shop, believe it or not!!!! I sewed an olympic badge on it too!!

So perhaps to a search on ebay, not a "proper" shop though unfortunately!!!

Thank you! :)

We're due a visit up there to see Chloe in the next couple of weeks, so will say hi to dolly and keep a look out for you!
Is there a show there this bank holiday?

2 YEARS!!!!!!!!!! MY GOODNESS:eek:

Always keep a look out for your piccies on FB!!

They have come such along way and she'll be on that pony for ages yet. Shes lucky poor L has a nearly 5'11 mum and a 6'3 dad i dont think L is much different in height to MR and shes only 8. And with Dolly been round she takes up so much leg too!!;) xxx

Yes, the usual big show is on, that's why I wondered if we'd see you!

Oh definately look out for us. Would be nice to say hi!!!

Chloe is lovely, I often see a particular girl riding her (can't remember her name but she loves her to bits!!!) such a beautiful big girly (the pony that is!! lol!!!)

:)

Wow! Two years! And don't they look fab together now, such a change! Daughter has gone from looking slightly overhorsed to looking very comfortable and confident, won't be long before she is starting to look big on Dolly and pestering you for a wizzy 14.2hh! But don't give in until her feet are around dolly's knees!

Oh I do love you!!!

You've given me a wealth of excuses why we're not "moving up" for another good few years yet!! I particularly like the "round" one lol :D:D:D!!!

We're quite lucky aren't we really, that daughter isn't growing so quick we HAVE to move on. They've ended up a perfect match!!!

I always look for your piccies too!!! The new pony is a cracker, I'd say I bet your nerves are shot, but knowing you, it'll be such a good pony you won't need to worry!! You have a good eye!!!

Thanks, and lovely to hear from you!!

xxx

I want a cute pony... Swap you your A and Dolly for our Al and her giant hoss(es)? Yes? :p

They look so confident and happy together now. Has she heard about the wonders of PC camp yet? Because you'll be waving goodbye to summer holidays once they're off on that :D :D

Oh my goodness how could it be 2 years???! If I had to guess I would say 8 months, where does time go?

Well done to all three of you, you are a fantastic team and you've come a long way together!

Definately was a bit overhorsed wasn't she!!! Now there's no stopping them!

I'm so glad we stuck with Dolly, she's one in a million and to be honest, I think very different from many other ponies. She's not very forgiving and expects you to treat her a certain way and ride her a certain way. But when you do, she's very very rewarding.

As for the wizzy 14.2 - nope, Dolly's wizzy enough thank you!! Definately wait until she can use her feet for brakes!!!

:D

Hmmmm tempting!! Are you sure you can handle our little 12.2hh fireball though??? :p;):D Don't want to overhorse you now!!! :D

No, by the way!!!

More PC stuff definately next year. Daughter is moving schools (her primary school was too far for me to be able to get her to the PC evening rallys) so from September she might be able to do branch PC (currently is a centre member just for holidays) and yes, PC camp will most likely be on the agenda.

***sigh***

:D

Thank you, such kind comments!!!!

Dolly has certainly taught her plenty! lol!!! The change in her has been amazing.

The first year was hard, and daughter had to take a few steps back occasionally, but it's made her appreciate that ponies are living things, not machines. They have good days and bad. I think it's making her into a lovely horselady (or whatever the correct term would be!) - tonight she had a lesson booked with a very talented showjumping coach, as a treat for their anniversary. She agreed that we should cancel because the weather was so bad, it was risky taking the van on the motorway due to standing water. No moans, no fuss. It was best for Dolly.

I'm so proud of them both! :o:)

Nope.

We're in Croft End!!!! Like I said above, we're very lucky, it's a wonderful yard to be part of. :D

Where are you, and do I know you?? I do wave randomly at a lot of riders on Knott Lanes!!!

:D

I'm on Diamond Hall in Woodhouses! You may well remember me from Croft End's dressage show where the bay pony I was riding tried to kill me  by flying at the gate. Not sure I know you in person though although I am a serial waver too so we've probably met before!

THEN AND NOW.....

(hope these photos aren't massive!!!!)

Ooohh I think I do remember you from the dressage show!!!

Did you get round? I remember thinking you must have had your lucky pants on - very very well sat if I recall!!!!!!

I don't know Diamond Hall. Is it the one near the fish farm?

Nice to hear from you anyway ****waves***!!!

no we didn't get round and the least said the better  The one near the fish farm is Jeff Hadfields or Baileys :) we're on Medlock Road, it's a lovely little yard :) Quite a few of the students at Croft End keep their horses at ours and so does one of the instructors :)

She looks fantastic! I remember all the trouble you had when you first got her, you must be so pleased you persevered now. Congratulations for the results!

Thank you!!!

I think some of those problems were definately caused by first time buyers nerves!!! Combined with pony sussing out nervous new owners and rider!!!

We love her to bits and don't regret anything!!!

:D

My nerves are getting worse as the jumps are getting bigger i tell you watching her jump 1.05m at PC actually made me nearly wee:D:eek:
But new pony is wonderfull so well behaved yet talented and a bargain too!!!

Ah no if they dont want to move on then why, my friend still has her 13.2 pony whos 24 (the pony) and competes her in veteran classes my friend is 30 with her own kiddie now, evetually pony will retire to her mums house were she has a collection of rescue ponies;)

Sometimes getting a new one cant be helped, I didnt own Hokey and she wanted to sell and wanted alot of money for him which realistacly was silly for me to pay out money i didnt really have when L had outgrown him, if i had owned him i would have probaly kept him longer, but all situations are different MR will be able to ride Dolly well into adulthood i expect.:)

Thanks, he taught me a lot! I was very determined not to fall off that day!

It is a small world! I'll be looking out for daughter and Dolly on the bridles now! :D
