I too rarely comment but always read your updates. They always make me smile

You have come on SOOOO far. I remember your first posts and how you thought you'd bought far too much pony, and were having to have other kids ride her in the lessons as she was too much for your daughter. Half the board suggested you sold her and got something easier, the other half said to give it time ( I think i was the latter!)

Yoour guys are doing just fab with her and look like you're having so much fun: exactly as it should be

Now, when are you getting your own pony?...... Nice little coloured cob would do the trick!

P.s if you hogged dolly you wouldn't need to plait (and a plus point for a coloured cob too!)

Sorry for delay in replying, been back in work this week after a week off and it traumatised me so much I had to sleep!!!!

I remember your support in the early days! You're right, it was quite a split of opinion, with a good few people thinking we'd over horsed daughter (me included at times!!!) but yes, you were one of those saying "bear with it, time will fix etc...." I'm so glad we did!!!! I love our little ginger monster!!!

I'd LOVE my own pony! Yes a big fat hairy cob would suit me soooooo much!!! But I'd have to get my ass back in the saddle first, and ideally I'd like a smaller ass before I do that!

Maybe I'll just get a shetland to take for walks, and to plait

oh i so love a dolly and daughter update they're always such happy posts these days and by that i mean you are enjoying things as much as daughter! even if you spend time with your eyes closed and probably holding your breath lol

I TRY to open my eyes most of the time! Actually, if I'm completely honest, I'm quite brave now!! Well, what I mean is I can "pretend" really well that I'm not at all fussed by anything when really I'm going inside!!!

I really really am enjoying everything though. Such precious days, I want to last forever!!!!

Bit too HUGH for my liking!!! We won't be making a habit of jumping that height too often! Well, I think we won't anyway. Daughter has other ideas!

Don't put yourself down- I'm 32 and a PC mum myself now and really don't like going to stuff without my Mum that extra pair of eyes and a bit of support is invaluable. Everyone else seems to have their Mum's with them at shows and it makes me a bit sad that mine has her own business and has to work - selfish I know but I do miss her x

Can't have enough eyes or hands at these shows, I find!!!!

I took my mum along with us to our jumping day out last week. She's not really very horsey, but loves Dols to bits. Her methods were........interesting......even by my standards!!!! When Dolly first dumped daughter, she trotted off towards my mum, who was really pleased with herself when she got hold of her.

So pleased that she forgot to pick the reins up, stepped into them and then nearly threw herself on the floor under Dolly.

Stupid little things isn't it, that you can't really tell anyone what do, but just pick up along the way! She tries her best though, and to be honest, it's made me a little closer to her too (as we didn't have the best relationship in the world).

Strange these ponies - manage to build so many bridges between people!

OMG the thought of you two xc schooling D & D! I can see it now. Mini RM stood at the gate shouting instructions whilst JTFD whizzes round on Dolly!!!! Probably dressed as a pirate too!!!!

ME on Dolly? I'd squish her! No no, miniRM stays on Dolly, and we all go hooning round on our own ponies Dolly can then follow one of ours over anything she thinks is "scary filler territory"... Or more likely, she'll behave better than ours and give us leads
