Springy's canter has improved such a lot in the school, she is now much more balanced, forward and round. We can maintain a fairly slow and rythmical canter now - something pretty far removed from the kamikazee affair we used to have!
Anyway, my yard have opened up the hay fields for us to ride in so we have about 40 acres to play in
Spring loves it and is nice and responsive, however she seems to have forgotten her balanced round canter and throws herself on her forehand. I vary the speed and do circles and half-halts I also sit up and out of the saddle occaisionally and will sit deep and get her to come back.
So after all that waffle - how do you achieve a good, forward xc canter?
Thankies
