Now I've made the decision to go to college in the autumn, I need to get on with finding Ty a loan home with the view to maybe selling him in the future.
So here's the boy:
(excuse shocking riding, this was last year!)
So, he's 15.3 and approx 12 years old. He is blind in one eye but always has been and managed to fool a vet into passing a 5 stage vetting!
He has suspected hock spavin but will be fully diagnosed before he moves home - I suspect that it will be a course of cortizone and then bute for a while as I think it's already fusing.
He will do a decent dressage test (going out next week to get him out and about) and will jump once his hocks are sorted.
He's good to hack out alone and in company although is not a novice ride as there are days he wants to hoon (although will wait to be asked!)
He is good to do but can get fidgety with the farrier but if shod in the stable is fine.
So he needs to go somewhere that his new mum will be aware of the blindess but not let it change the way they deal with him as he's a cheeky character when he wants to be.
He'd probably suit a competent novice who wants a good happy hacker but maybe to dabble in a bit of dressage.
How much is he worth?
Thanks
