Dee Savers

As my breatplate clips on to the d rings on my saddle, and on my new saddle over time it will cause considerable damage, i am looking to buy some Dee Savers. I can only find them in the US, and obviously at £3-4 per pair, it would mean that they would cost far more. Any ideas?

First thought is some electricians shrinking cable wrap (the one you run a soldering iron over). Not sure how you get it on the D though!

If so, I got some of the Shires ones but I phoned them up to negotiate postage at cost rather than the standard £5ish shipping! Worth a go
