They do exist!

Have a look at Brandy Farm & Top Barn but sure there are others that would do similiar.

I've seen Julia McHugh advertise similiar sounding camps too :)

I've done a few TREC specific camps organised by Julia, and I'm booked onto one she's organised in Shropshire this year
I enjoy plenty of good out riding, 1 lesson a day, nice venue with sleeping options, eg rooms included in price, just evening meal is fine with me as I'm happy to sort out my own breakfast and lunch
I've done camps at brandy House Farm and dudgley farm but we're trying a different venue this year

Well it has to be at Somerford then, centre of the Horse Camp Universe, and bonus I won't have to travel or pay for stabling . Not that I'm being self centred or anything ? the facilities are truly unbeatable. And I can offer beds to people who don't have sleeping in their horse transport.
.
Somerford is getting even better .. no need for tents or cold trailers to sleep in . They are building pods ?View attachment 88577View attachment 88578

I have baby horse at a camp there at the end of April. We haven't been offered accommodation. I may have to look into a pod as sleeping in my 3.5 tonne box with no living may have been fun when I was younger, but not so much now!

Timing is going to be tight Red but do check with me first. We could be in the new house by then and it's 5 minutes away. I'd love to put you up.

That is very kind of you. I am sure I will be fine in the box, but I will check online if I am suffering after the 1st night LOL.

I was thinking about buying an Octospring mattress!

I absolutely love the camp plus camps at Somerford and did two last year and two in 2019. I’ve met some of my best horsey friends there. I love doing the farm ride, then have two x country lessons, one SJ and one gridwork. The facilities there are outstanding! Food and Prosecco in the evening with friends/ new friends is just the best??

I love Somerford and went to a xc/jumping camp there years ago, but I have to admit my favourite part was the farm ride. I'm just a happy hacker and have fun kind of gal.

I went to a much smaller dressage camp at a venue with no facilities other than the arena and stables and one static caravan. As a camp I actually preferred the smaller one, mainly because of the host's excellent hosting skills. She encouraged us into group chats, brought bacon butties for us to eat while we were watching the other lessons and made sure we all went to the pub for a meal on the first night (including the instructor) and sat on one big table. The second night we had a party in the static. Her catering was to die for too ? And I probably learned as much from watching the other lessons as I did from my own.

Somerford was outstanding for facilities and the tuition was great but im glad I went with friends as I would have found the downtime between lessons quite boring and the evening social situations quite intimidating - think lots of people sitting at refectory type tables and having to ask if a seat was free, then finding out everyone else nearby knew each other and were too busy in their own conversation to even notice you - I'm not great at pushing in!

yeah I think watching each others lessons solves the downtime/not knowing anyone problem quite well. I never minded going to the camps i did solo because you'd always find there was some social time that span off from watching/discussing other lessons. then you automatically had people to chat to in the evenings.
It needs to be a discipline or environment where it's possible for the spectators to hear what the coach is saying though otherwise you miss out on a lot of the relevant info.
