due to the weather?

I was suppose to be having a schooling session on Charlie but it was just to wet! I wouldn't have minded riding in it but it wasn't fair to tack him up when he was already wet and expect him to work, plus the school was probably to wet! Bl00dy Rain!

What else did you all get up to today?

I went to the saddlery to try and sort a saddle out for the beastie but wasn't very successful, I think the saddler was to intent on trying to get me to buy a really nice New Ideal saddle rather then what I actually went in for, Which was a Thorowgood

! I said I would go back for the Ideal when I win the lottery

So anyway my search for a saddle continues!

Whilst I was there though I brought a gorgeous Musto jacket that was reduced from £80 to £40 so I was very Happy

Now I have the house to myself (pure bliss!) and am chilling on the sofa!

I was due to hack out with a frind this morning but horse pulled a shoe yesterday evening!! Weather has been ok here today but think we are going to get the rain tomorrow...........

It hasn’t been too bad here in Kent, a bit of drizzle this morning but that’s it. Took Mum and Badger the Fjord for a hack (me walking). Bodey had the day off. So no the weather didn’t stop me.

No changes- It wasn;t bad really.

Drove Pippy in the field, helped Dad drive a pair, who had quite a few issues to work through today as the wind is exciting. Going out after Diner give Ginga a jump in preparation, and baby pony a long rein, just to see what he will do.

Ooooh, did you school the wotsit??

I had the farrier at 9am and was going to ride afterwards if it was dry. Fetched pony in and it was peeing it down, he was soaked through and he didn't stop shivering the whole time he was with the farrier
frown.gif
and he is a chunky, hardy native pony, I've never seen him shiver like that

So I left him in for the day with a big bed and lots of hay, and then rode this afternoon when it had dried up. Main change to my plans today was that I then had to muck out. I don't feel like I should be mucking out in June!!

No but i wish i had, took seren out on her own and she was very out of character and very very spooky, but the pheasant flying at her, followed by the dead badger on the road just didn't help!! plus i got soaked right through, wish i hadn't bothered this morning!
Here is to a drier more relaxed ride tomorrow

She doesn't know whats hit her ... she's in work 6 days a week (being worked twice a day for 2 days)

She was actually very well behaved , put her back in her loose ring with a lozenge (rather than the single joint fulmer) and we only had one tantrum

Had planned to be sitting on m'neddy today, but The Cold put paid to that
frown.gif
.

I ride in practically all weather - didn't used to, but lost so much time to the rain (and lameness) that decided that would watch come rain or shine
cool.gif
.

And ISHY - Yay
grin.gif

Sound's like you have a stinker of a cold!
frown.gif
Hope it clears up soon!

Take it easy and have one of those wonderful hot choccies you like to dish out to us!
laugh.gif

ISHY - well done!!

The poor wotsit must be exhausted

I was going to ride my girly (in training for the walk and trot at the annual yard show!!) but she had to be stabled last night as a bit footy so worried its her lami (its probably just skivving - has been sound up until I mentioned the show

....) and it was persisiting down this morning so my big grey boy is looking like a hippo. Nursing of little poorly pony also meant not as much time as usual combined with helping sister get ready for County Show tomorrow (has a shop there)
grin.gif

I did, wasnt going to ride as it was sposed to be chucking it down but then didnt, so i went for a hack. Dont know why i bothered though, spent most of the time going backwards, sideways, up headges, round in circles, down ditches and standing on back legs as a stooooooopid blackbird
mad.gif
wigged him out completely just as we went out as it was sort of trapped in the long grass/weeds/nettles of the hedge flapping about trying to free iteself, damn bloody bird and the hoss prodeeded to wig out at everything then
mad.gif
mad.gif
grrrrr

Yep, was supposed to be meeting BibbetyBobbetyBoo at 11 for a hack but we mutually agreed at 9am that going for a 4 hour hack on a mountain, including crossing busy roads, probably wasn't sensible in such poor visibility! Gutted
frown.gif
Oh well, re-arranged for next week
smile.gif

Horses are out 24/7 but I brought mine in tonight as company for his 24yo boyfriend who'd been out naked in the rain all day and was shivering - I took pity and put beds & feeds down, never known them to be so glad to come in
wink.gif

I did manage to have my planned violin lesson, though, but played like a numpty
