Was just going through some pictures of Murphy (OEG X GS) and there was this pic of him and his sister;

They were so different. Hes the smaller black one, i always thought males would be bigger? I know as they are a crossbreed its alot more likely but i wondered whether anyone else had anything similar?

And him now just because i love this pic

Thanks also another chance to post pics of your lovely doggies :)

Not going to get embroiled in the crossbreeding issue! Here are Jake and Brig, littermates and very different re looks and character:

And Zak and Bear, also very different even though the same colour:

See sig! Hard to believe they're related, I only believe it because I have both their pedigrees and know their ID to correlate!

All the males in the litter were giants, the females midgets. Males quite laid back like dad, females very highly strung like mum. Two were black and gold, four sable. All with dog aggressive tendencies if not kept in line/unsocialised/not given a job to do.

Pure breeding is just as much of a crap shoot, but you can at least look at a pedigree and say 'not going for that combination again!'

Cute pups!

Here's my boys, they look similar and weighed about the same around 31kg but Hector was about 2in taller so poor Throp's often mistaken for a girl as at 26in high he's on the small side for a male greyhound. Personality wise they're opposites Hector was cheeky & outgoing, whereas Throp's more of a nervous nellie and very lazy.

Leo was Rott x Neo Mastiff (rehomed), all the other pups grew to look like big black labs, and all had alot of health probs and died relatively young. Leo never had any health problems until he developed bone cancer at 12 and i had him pts.

Yep - my old dog was nothing like any of his litter mates who all were lean and taller than him (collie x JRTs)

My sisters foxhound x retriever is the only one who even slightly resembled retriever in how she looked, but they did all turned out mahoosive!
