I had a flatwork lesson last night first in about 3/4 weeks and he was really good
Hes more consistant in the contact and we worked him quite deep to start with then got him to bring his head up, his trot is going so much better already considering i can only school on hacks. his canter is a bit better but is so big we are just trying to get him working more fowards (as in his trot) probably a bit faster than we would want in a test but shold hopefully enable him to carry himself better and work more fowards into my contact. My instructor is pleased with him and said how quick he is learning.
Its an awful long way to go and bending/going away from my leg isnt really there at all yet but hopefully now i he a good contact with him we can work on those
Now feel i can get my dressage saddle on him as my jumping one sits me too onto his shoulder and i need to sit more away from it.
Another thing my instructor mentioned is i may have to change my WOW dressage flaps as she thinks i will have too much knee roll (giant fixed blocks) does anyone else finding having so much knee roll a problem?
ooo and i am hoping to take him XC schooling again this weekend
