I hope now he is in a better place. Hunt/Knackerman very kind and compassionate.

He didnt bleed one bit and hunt man said very very unusual.
 
DA I just wanted to send you a massove hug. In this one act you did more for his welfare in a minute than his breeder did for him in his lifetime. Hold your head high and know that YOU are the better person. I so wish it had turned out differently for you both but you were brave enough to do the right thing.
I hope he rests in peace now and that you are able to see the kindness you have done xxxx

Huntsman didn't say that to comfort you DA, it's absolutely true. I have seen six done and they all bled. I think you have an answer to what was wrong, it was physical and in his head and disrupting the blood supply to his brain.

You've been so brave. Well done.
 
Have shed a few tears for you and your poor horse.An awful story He is in a better place now, and no danger to himself or anyone.Sounded like it was an inevitable outcome for the poor lad. I am so sorry it ended this way for you.God bless both of you.Look after yourself now, you have been through the mill, but have been wonderful for this horse.((( big hugs))) RIP poor lad x
 
I have great respect for you Digitalangel. You were the only person is that horse's life, who did the right thing for him. Nobody knows if he was in pain or frightened but he is at peace now and that's down to you. Well done for doing the right thing and huge hugs to you. If only there were more like you.
 
I too am a silent follower but I also thought of you this morning. You have my utmost respect for doing right by that horse all the way to the bitter end. Huge hugs and love for you xxx
