I have the utmost respect for my horse's previous owner who was having a lesson on him when she still owned him and was struggling to get something right. Instructor offered to ride and proceeded to hammer him at pretty much flat out gallop over the same fence, 'until he got it right'. He is sensitive and was starting to get quite worked up.
After 5 minutes, owner walked up to him, took him by the bridle and said to the instructor 'I don't think he's going to learn anything from this, so you might as well stop wasting your time and mine. I'll pay you for the full hour, but as far as I'm concerned the lesson is over'.
The look on the instructor's face was a picture!
