Hi!
I’m currently on a DIY yard, paying for my stable and separately for haylidge per kg, free use of arena and winter turnout only
Just wondering what everyone is paying for DIY at the moment?

Hi,
We are in the West Midlands. I pay £195 a month which includes unlimited straw bedding, and one large round bale of hay (which to be fair lasts all month for my 16hh mare). Turnout /bring in is charged at £2 extra per time and I pay for my own feed.
No arena but plenty of hacking and possible to ride round the farm on private land. Really nice people as well and 2 mins drive from home.
Basically the only way you would get me to leave is in a box!! (Coffin, not horse box) ?

I pay £100 a month per horse, for DIY. I get a stable, all year round turnout, which is the most important thing for me. We also have a grass schooling area, obviously only usable when the ground is dry enough. It doesn't include hay or bedding but I have enough space to store a couple of round bales. It's the nicest yard I've ever been, on everyone is nice and friendly and my YO is brilliant.

Completely DIY is £120/month with haylege £1.50/day up to 12kg so would be £162. 20x40 arena with lights, hardstanding turnout in winter and only on road hacking.

NI tends to be cheaper than some areas of England tho.

I pay £170 for DIY - stable and all year turnout. We do get morning feeds and turnout included. We have a decent school and lots of nice hacking.

£150 for pure DIY but with all year around turnout (daytime in the winter) plus exclusive use of all weather surfaced turn out paddock - i have 2 horses so they share. Loads of private storage for hay/bedding/feed, private tackroom and arena with good surface. Hacking from site is ok but access to excellent off road hacking a 10 min box ride away.

It depends so much on where you are. DIY in my area (North Surrey) is £220-300/month for a stable, storage, tackroom, access to schools & turnout, hacking (usually with some roadwork).

Including hay and bedding (which I pay for separately) I pay around £380/month to be on a yard with a large indoor school, big well-fenced fields that aren't overstocked and stable, small herds. The hacking is ok, but takes some roadwork to get to, has a lot of dog walkers and is boggy in wet winters.

I think my livery is getting a good deal then. £50 a week for 3 ponies. She pays for her own hay and bedding and feed. Stables and turnout all year and I turn out, muck out and bed down, hay up etc every week day morning.

Going to view a place tomorrow that's £80 pw diy but that includes hay/straw/morning feeds. Pricey but facilities are excellent and more importantly, there's turnout

Similar here. About £70 pw for 24/7 turnout on properly managed paddocks, with hay included and a stable and straw bedding available if needed. Basic morning feed is also given, and we have a nice outdoor arena with lights and really good hacking.

Is that £50 for all three, or £50 per pony? If the former, surely if you work out what you're paying yourself per hour...it'll be peanuts?

I pay £175 a month for stable and grazing. Small private yard with only a couple of liveries, we can turnout whenever we like and thankfully there is plenty grazing but we are all sensible. Flood lit arena and trailer parking included, and ok hacking. Have to buy own hay and bedding, but lots of storage space to keep it.

In West Sussex, £155 pcm. Great hacking (right next to South Downs Way), storage, floodlit but slightly ropey 20x40 arena, no extra to park trailer. Can turn out 24/7/365 if wanted (which I do), regular hay deliveries and assistance when needed.

£50 for all 3. I'm not bothered by how much I am paying me per hour. It is helping me out in several ways as well.

£230 per month (but second horse is £210).

Huge floodlit outdoor
Indoor
Jumps
Common room
Hay and feed storage
Tack locker
Excellent hacking
Overnight turnout in summer and day time turnout in winter

Does not include hay, feed, bedding, or the staff bringing in and turning out your horse. Expensive DIY, looking at this thread, but they can charge it because there aren't too many other places to go in this area.

£60 per month
Basic DIY - They are out 24/7 in summer
In winter one of the girls brings in mid morning for us and we turn them out including her horse after work at 6pm.
We buy hay off the land owner and rarely need bedding anyway, they stay in in extreme weather overnight but only on the odd occasion.
We have stable/tackroom and grazing and hacking 100/150 yards up the road on to the moor but no school or electric. Horses have a river in the field and we have headtorches for winter :)
