Hi I just wondered how much people here paid for diy livery? And what would you class as cheap/expensive?
 
It depends on facilities. I have: stable, field shelter, field for 2, includes electricity and water but I have to buy in my own hay/straw etc, £10 a week. No other facilities, but I'm allowed to do as I like within reason.

I know locally, for a stable, grazing (summer turnout 24/7) and facility of a fair sized school it;'s about £25 p/w excluding hay/straw.
 
Our yard varies from between £115 up to £130 per month. For that you get stable, all year round grazing (separate mare/gelding herds), an outdoor school with lights (not great surface though), tack and feed room. In winter (Nov to April) all horses are stabled overnight so turnout and bring in Mon-Fri is included. Anything you need done though (ie, change rugs, feed etc is extra). Also in winter all haylage is included. You pay for your own bedding though. In summer if you stable your horse you have to pay for hay/haylage. We are on the doorstep of great hacking and have some crop fields that belong to the farm that we are allowed to ride round too. I think it's good value for what it is.
 
I pay £35 a week DIY. For this I get stable, year round turnout, use of floodlight outdoor 60 x 40 area which is rubber surfaced, use of sand gallop track plus secure heated tackrooms and rug drying room. I also have the additional security of CCTV, electric gates and off road hacking on private estate (you do have to pay for a pass to use routes other than public bridleways). I buy in own hay and purchase straw from the yard. Turnout / bring in charges etc are all extra at about £2 a time.
 
I pay £85 a month for stable, sand school (with use of loads of jumps) and cross country course. We all have our own space in the barn for storage too and a separate locked bit for tack.

Hay/feed/bedding is extra.
 
My last place was £120 pcm basic livery and stable. There was a school there too, and it was a pretty nice set up yard. YO lived on site, hay on site, help on site if and when required (mostly anyway)

I have moved to somewhere thats £65pcm now and my stable was just built this week. There is plenty of land, more than seren will ever need, and there is currently one other livery, its a small place, we do have another lady joining us in the next month. No YO living on site.
Its a wonderful little place, right near my old yard and hacking on the doorstep. We have water on the meter(we split the bill), and the electric is supposed to be getting sorted soon. I moved to cut down costs as my mare was always lame, but *touches wood* is now sound, as it seemed to be silly paying all that money for a field ornament.

I think you get what you pay for alot of the time, my place is basic but its all we need tbh :D
 
£65 per month - stable, turnout, outdoor school, use of jumps, barn space for storing hay, straw, shavings etc. (have to buy in seperatly), locked tack room, water, electricity.
 
I pay £175 per calender month for two horses, for this I get 2 stables 12x12 with rubber matting, my own huge paddock, use of a floodlit arena, 24/7 all year turn out if I want (yep even in winter) off road riding and space for hay and shavings which is charged seperately.

YO will give feed twice a day for free but other things such as mucking out etc are charged as extra's
 
£22 pw for individual grazing, stable, tack room, feed room, indoor school and outdoor up the road. xc course. Buy hay off farmer - also let me put shelter in my field - turnout all yr round and mine lives out 24/7
 
Places I've been at have been as following:

£180 P/M - olympic sized indoor, 2 outdoors, 2 XC courses, 4 fullsets of BSJA jumps, therapy centre, walker, 2-3 lessons a week, dressage training, affiliated shows on site, bedding, haylage, stable private hacking. Very little grazing - was stabled 24/7 for about 6 months till had turnout and even then it was restricted.

£40 P/M - stable and field, schooling paddock and a few jumps, normal hacking.

£130 P/M - adequate outdoor school, few jumps, stable, bedding, hay, turnout, **** hacking.
 
We pay £70 p.m. this includes huge stable, huge paddock all to himself, free use of sandschool, cross-country course, jumping paddock, have to be stabled at night between Nov-April (Approx), space for straw/hay, locked tackroom. Even have our own shed on site plus parking for trailer - at no extra cost!! YO lives on site. Turn-out/bringing-in if required at cost of £1 summer, £1.50 winter (if rugged). Straw/hay purchased on site. Also on-site tack/feed shop - very dangerous!! :)
 
I charge £20 per week in Shropshire. This includes stable, shared feed and tack room, all yr turnout, 50 x 30 m school, off road hacking straight from yard, and trailer storage. My liveries have to provide their own forage/bedding/hard feed with a large open barn for storage.

I will be paying £110 PM for 12*12 stable 70 acres turnout (24/7 optional May-Oct) 2* outdoor arenas, amazing hacking,walker, solarium, no bedding feed or hay included tho :-(
 
£100 per month for two well fenced and maintained paddocks (to rotate as the livery sees fit), stable, floodlit rubber school w/ jumps, designated wash down area, some XC jumps, grass tracks for riding round the fields, okish hacking from what I've heard (haven't had the chance to explore yet, only been there a week! :D )
 
Mine is £28 per week and I get a stable, individual turnout, floodlit menage, cross country jumps, use of horse walker, water, electric, tackroom space and hay/straw space. I have to buy hay/straw/shavings from YO. Also very safe off road hacking.
 
£145 pcm
Includes all year turnout (daytime only in winter), straw and hay or haylage. Floodlit outdoor school, locked tack room, area for feed etc access to really good bridlepath network, tracks on own land. Free parking for horseboxes at neighbouring farm.
Services if you want at a reasonable rate.
 
I pay £25pw for stable, field (paired turnout) use of large indoor and outdoor schools, lots of storage space and individual tack room, and excellent off road hacking.
 
£40 a week for use of stable, grazing and storage space. I buy in my own hay/straw/feed and anything else eg morning feeds, turn outs are extra. I'm in N.London/Herts border
 
Mine has just gone up :(

From £35 to £36 a week which doesnt seem much but I struggle as it is. We get a 12x12 stable, individual tack locker, 1 acre individual paddock, use of 60x40 floodlit outdoor, horsewalker (which breaks down a lot), wash room and solarium which you need to buy tokens for and round pen. Then I pay extra for Tia to be turned out in the morning and brought in at night weekdays which is about £3-4 a day depending on if rug changes are required.

It is expensive but is very convenient and is the only yard in the area I know of which has a good arena and nice stables. Wish it was cheaper but I guess if people are willing to pay that for DIY then it can be charged. I dont want to move as its a nice yard to be on. The other liveries are very nice and friendly and no kids running around.
 
£140/month + £60 for hay and shavings

We get: stable; turnout; storage for feed, wheelbarrow and tools; use of 2 arenas (1 indoor, 1 outdoor); discounted lessons; 3500+ acres of off-road hacking; beach nearby.

We like it here :)
