First time since bouncing on my head :D. The Dizz and I cantered up and down a wee track; we did it four times just 'cos it was so good :D.

After the first time I was hugging her neck with tears streaming down my face.

Not a big deal for most :), but I've had a bit of a nerves issue. Today was a major milestone :D

Pointless post, but a very happy one :D :D :D

Hot choccies with choccy flakes and squirty cream all round :D

Thanking you kindly :D

It was interesting trotting down the road afterwards though, lol. She thought she was going to get to go faster again :D. I was on such a high that had there been anything to jump I'd have given it a go :D

Enjoying the marshmallows ta :):D

That's brilliant and I know how you feel, I remember actually enjoying my first canter on a hack after losing my confidence - oh the joy :)

Well done you.

Oh wow that's fantastic news - well done you! :D

I rode my pony last week, the first time in about 6 months, thanks to my horrible joint condition and pony being full of bucks and general naughtiness through the winter.
I got my daughter to have a jumping lesson on him first, and then, while his sides were still heaving I scrambled on board and went out for a quiet little hack on my own. I was only supposed to go for a walk round the lanes, but I just couldn't help myself ... I set off across the Forest, and even sneaked in a canter.
It was agony in my joints, and the slightest spook or stumble let alone one of his bucks would have had me off, but I came back with SUCH a big grin on my face. :D

Massive well done Mrs M - it is no mean feat to confront your fears and start rebuilding your confidence so I think all the trimmings are required on you hot choccie and a nice big carrot for Dizzy for being so good....

Looking forward to the 'Dizz and I went out and did X' posts that will soon be on they way!!

T xx

Well done Mrs M and Dizzy!!!:D:D:D:D

Sorry, Mrs M when you text me I had a big of a brain problem...it was cloudy!!:D:D:D

Wow :D. Thank you folks :D :D :D

What lovely comments, thank you so kindly. Yesterday would have been my Mother's Birthday - the second since she died - and for some reason I was finding it very tough to cope with, but my big ginger girl could not have given me a better gift to help me through it :D

And Sprout - it's amazing isn't it :D :D :D

A belated...Whoopy! That sounds like just the best thing for the pair of you! Hope this still finds you on Cloud 9 :)
