Do I need to supplement their raw diet?

Stella and Prince are both fed Primal raw food, either the quail, pheasant or duck. Here are the full ingredients within the quail formula: http://www.primalpetfoods.com/product/detail/c/7/id/6

I add salmon oil and glucosamine, and also feed berries, sardines, the odd egg and dehydrated tripe for treats. I thought this was enough, but:

Prince is a consumer of dirt
Stella is a consumer of grasses

Neither throws up after doing so, so either they simply like the taste, or I'm thinking that perhaps they're mineral deficient. Any ideas about supplements to add? (Their energy levels, weight, coat health etc. are excellent.)

I read some where dogs shud have access to grass if raw. Mine are always having a munch on grass.

Some dogs just enjoy eating random stuff.

I wouldn't supplement if I was you.

Max is always eating grass I don't supplement their diet as they get loads of meat, bones veg etc (probably a better balanced diet than mine) and they are both fit and well with shiny coats etc

I figure if Max is fit and well enough to catch hares there is nothing much wrong

I'm sure your two are fine - just being mingers as nature intended!

It is great. It's blimmin' expensive, but true raw is just too messy to comprehend in an apartment.

I shall let them carry on, then, with their filthy habits

Dogs are just mingers, it isn't always a diet thing, ALL of our dogs have eaten grass.

Yes, my two are poop fans as well. Prince loves it all--goose, rabbit, horse, whatever. Stella is more discriminating and covets only horse poop.

Teal has just decided that being clean on his walk was not acceptable, he drank from a puddle with cow pat in it and then rolled in it with his ball. Dogs are mingers Will rolled in a dead badger ergh ergh ergh. More to the point why?

Because it's there and eau du long dead Badger is just perfect, all the ladies will just love it and you can sneak up on a wabbit for supper!! Humans and their inferior noses will just never understand that we plain don't like smelling of flowers, fruit and stuff!!
