Opinions please, after a comment today basically saying I'm a bit big for my horse, it got me looking at this photo from today..

I thought I looked alright? I know I'm not a dot on an elephants backside but...?,!

Thank you, just some comment basically saying he's quite small and don't you think you would've been better off with something bigger?..:o I love him to bits and I'd never part with him for love nor money plus I don't really want a bigger horse:o

Thank you, I didn't think he was. To be honest he's perfect weight IMO at the min, actually he's got quite the belly on him at the mo. I know he needs muscle but he's not been in regular work till now, so it will come in time:o
 
I have always really seemed to stick to ponies and after a comment a couple weeks ago I posted on here about my pony. What is it with people thinking that every one over the age of 16 or so apprantly has now outgrown their 14hh pony and needs a horse. Its an opinion that seems to be spreading all over. Why?

As long as you and your horse are having a good time it doesnt matter.

SusieT I dont think horse looks thin but defo lacking a top line.
 
I would imagine there are a fair few lacking top line at this time of year after being wintered out.

He looks great OP and you look fine on him.
 
I prefer a horse on the smaller size and I'm tall. There seems to be a fashion for enormous horses. Can't understand why. Far further to fall off - which is not good. Your horse looks cute, just hope he didn't decimate the flowers in the background of your shot!
 
Nope don't think your too big at all.
I don't think he looks in bad condition either.
I do think once his got some topline he will look like a super duper cracking little horse. What a super little horse you have - enjoy him he looks nice and relaxed. :)
 
What sort of horse does the person who made the comment have? Some people seem to think we should all have huge horses if we're adults, personally I will stick to my little arab! You look fine.
 
I got it all the time on my old chap took no notice he was happy I was happy and we used to has have a ball galloping around the countryside outrunning everyone. Your feet aren't dragging along the floor you look fine to me :)
 
Who are all these busy bodies that seem to think your horse is too small if your feet come beyond the saddle flaps? Have they ever seen the Spanish Riding School, or Mark Todd, or William Fox Pit??

OP tell this lunatic to get a grip, you look a great size on your horse.
 
You look fine on him! I've been riding my eldest daughter's 13.2hh pony - I'm 5'6 - feel quite happy on him and have to say he's waaaay more fun than any 17 hander - enjoy your pony and ignore the fools!! :)
