do people have nothing better to do?

This place gets worse lol. I just read another thread where someone was complaining about having to be at work and then wanted to know why we are all on here at this time of day instead of being outside with our horses!!!!

I know it's best to ignore this sort of thing, but it proper gets my back up!!!! I've never noticed your siggy to be particularly big DB, but there were some new ones pop up this weekend which were significantly too big. Maybe TFC's attention was caught by these ahd he decided to do a major, if slightly trigger happy, sweep out.

If your signature exceeded the permitted size then what have you to complain about? Just downsize it slightly and there you go. The rules are there for everyone to follow, so I don't see why you think you should be exempt.

i think you have misread the point of my post seth- have said several times that i'm not bothered and if sig was too big then fair enough its too big- have never ever said that i should be "exempt" from the rules...
what i am a tad annoyed about is not being given a warning when other people get one (and its not exactly a new siggy, have had it for months) and also bloody button pushers who have nothing better to do than measure the exact millimetres of the size of people's siggys... ;)

HaHaHa I pressed the button!!!!!:p:D sick of seeing scrummy V flashed hugee on my screen!!

Jeesh where was the warning...ah well a sign of things on here atm!!

Bring back V and rocks of course!! x

 that's not fair
Have you upset anyone on here perhaps? Suppose by me replying someone will do the same to me as think our siggys were done by the same person?:p:D

I didn't report you ....but I must admit large signatures & Huge pictures being posted make threads difficult to read. In fact it gets to a point when I can't be bothered to read them. I do think you should have been asked to alter your signature size though, instead of just having it pulled.

Ner Ner NerNer Ner, that told you didn't it :p

**quickly covers sig with blank piece of paper

Oh dear, blank piece of paper didn't work, just had a message from FC telling me my sig had been removed!
Now I wonder who pushed the button. Do you have any ideas Seth? Coincidence? I think not!

I hope it wasn't my fault! I added a sig to mine and it was massive. I'm not very good at technical stuff. By the time I'd resized it, I'd already had a message from admin saying someone had complained and they'd removed it. That happened in about 10 mins!

Ha, Ha, quiet at work, so knocked up new sig - this one conforms to guidelines, so button push all you like!

HHO Admin"

I got my info from the FAQ's that tell you how to create a sig (as told to do so from the FC), see below:

"Signatures' contain information that you want to include at the bottom of all your posts. This might include pictures, links to your site(s), quotes, etc. Please do not post pictures which are more than 700pixels wide and/or 200pixels high (singularly or collectively). Adverts and links to commercial websites are not allowed in signatures."

My sig is 200px high and 480 wide, as stated above, so HHO admin are contradicting themselves.

Please can you clarify who is right, HHO Admin, or the FAQs that tell you the max size your sig can be? I wouldn't want to get into trouble again

I would assume its the T&C's/FAQ's given how they are bandied about as gospels carved in stone everytime a discussion gets a bit heated!

I just asked - but I feel a bit silly having done so as I just checked and the FAQ's postdate Admin's posting so are presumably correct

pidge i'm not sure how much mine was out by. perhaps one of the button pushers could tell you, they probably have a ruler to hand

If you want to know how big a sig is right click on it and somewhere on the menu will be a tab with the size - for Chrome, which I'm using, it's right click, inspect element and then on the rhs of the screen scroll down to "Metrics".:)

Just realised that ^^^^ isn't what you wondered about, as yours isn't visible any longer. Perhaps it will help someone else!:)

FYI Pidge's is (or was if it's been edited!) 4 pixels over!

The gigantic ones that stretch the screen and leave you scrolling helplessly back and forth to read everything are annoying beyond belief, especially when you often browse on a tiny netbook or mobile phone.

Ones a little bit over don't bother me a jot but anything else gets adblocked (I won't disable them entirely because some people have lovely sigs and I rely on them to quickly identify posters :o).

Am I unreasonable? Probably. I'm having my revenge in the form of a really annoying too-big animated one for the next few days, until I bore of it. Muahaha. :p
