That may not be the best title for what im tryng to ask but ...
Last week i saw something happen at a show which upset me a bit, i was going to post about it but then thought if they were on here they may know i was talking about them or they may recognise my horses from my siggy (i know probably unlikey but could be possible).
I have also wondered this about when people post commenting about adverts or similar, do you ever wonder if the person you are posting about is on here?

I think you are right to think twice. It shows you have good judgement and morals. :)

I wouldn't post anything that could upset someone if they recognised themselves in the post.

Really, dreamcometrue?
Your moral delicacy doesn't extend to visitor messages on my profile though, does it?

Absolutely. After a serious accident, I inadvertantly really upset a friend on here with some of the feelings I was putting on my posts.
I am now very very careful about what I write, and many times wont write my really true feelings in fear of upsetting her again.

I never name names, ever. Besides, every local horsey person I know doesn't go on here, and I don't go to shows ;)

And I have only posted about one advert, which was a lovely advert written as a poem about a child's pony, which I was admiring!

Popcorn? ;)
Kidding.

Yes, I do often think twice about posting things.. I try not to post 'offensive' stuff, but usually I need to think twice about posting incase someone thinks my question is really stupid or something, I have a lot of daft questions in my head :D xx

Was it wrong to laugh at that :o?

Gosh Shils, I'm now left wondering if you are the only person who has had an offensive profile message left :D.

ditto this.

I tend to lurk about but i do know the worst offender is facebook as i work in the community a member of staff on my team was moaning really bad about a patient and naming her, not remembering she has boss's daughter on her friends list....need i say more but it was a serious breach of confidentiality and she could have lost her job!! Needless to say, i lurk about forums and never talk about work on my facebook lol x

I seem to have the amazing and magical ability to post very ordinary things and have them blown WAY out of proportion for no real reason!

*tadaa!*

All the time! Which is why I tend to lurk. I try to keep my facebook status positive, more for my family back home not to worry. But hey ho might have a few choice words to put on when we do leave this awful place, but if I know me I'll probably chicken out.

I didnt on another forum until I offended someone I like when ranting and letting off steam. I also was taken wrong way in a reply and worried I seemed harsh with my horses but it was fine.

I think if want to say anything to anyone about anyone best to send a private message to a particular member and not a public post.
