Do you go to shows alone?

Caol Ila: yep, it's not legal to leave them outside tied up! I guess our trailers are different to the "floats" or other countries, they are smaller and have more areas the horse could access to be caught on.

Awww... that puts me right off showing again. Our horses used to enjoy the day, hanging out next to the trailer with a haynet, watching everything going on around them, and you with a camping chair (and a beer if you weren't the designated driver) chilling out with them between your tests. I don't think my horse would be remotely impressed if she had to spend the day standing inside a dark, teeny trailer. Yeck.

And most everything tied. Everything. Usually. Well, there was inevitably someone at every show with a big nervy warmblood they couldn't control, but since it was standard operating procedure to leave your horse tied to the rig for the day, most people made sure their horses were sensible about standing tied.
