....that catches and kills weasels??
Our beautiful (??), rather small cat has today caught and killed a weasel!

She is a prolific hunter but thought that such a vicious little beast would be beyond her capabilities - obviously not!

Alfie has birds, quite big ones sometimes. And our yard cat frisk has rabbits, mice and anything small and fluffy and not likely to fight back, so deniatly no weasels

! Would even know what one looked like tbh

We had half an adder brought in one day, apparently next doors cat took the other half into her, just a little worrying!! we'v also had a few rabbits as well, most with no heads, whys that i wonder?

No but one of my old cats (before he died) used to jump of our garage roof to catch bats! No idea how he never managed to injure himself either lol. My grans cat and our other one (now lives with my gran to keep the old boy company) bring in bunnies from the national trust land behind her house

The 3 kittens we have at home can only catch the odd fly and the lung whip

Frogs? Not yet, but adders - no way - we are in the wrong area for them. We have had a live magpie in the kitchen and a mole which went under the stair well and I had to get it out with a fishing net. They may be blind, but they can still bite!

Our yard cat the other week took on a rat and this rat was the biggest I have ever seen honestly was almost as big as a rabbit then it left it dead in the middle of te yard,
Then the other week killed a rabbit and that was also head less, dunno what that was? and ate half of it and sat rather stuffed for several hours after lol

CHarlie once caught a kestrel. We actually saw him do it. He was watching a mouse on the ground when a kestrel, who had obviously been watching the mouse too, dropped out of the sky and landed in front of him. Charlie obviously thought, 'Great, dinner just got bigger!' and leapt on the pair of them. We ended up throwing coal (nearest ammunition) near him to make him let go!

He also catches squirrels...... in the trees. Again and again we have had to rush out and prise a huge, stinking flea ridden squirrel out of his jaws as they both lie panting on the floor after a tree top chase.

one of mine likes to catch birds, mice and bats and then release them in the house. I usually spot the birds as they are pretty obvious, can usually gather there is mice when they are all sat around a bit of furniture but I do draw the line at the bats. There is nothing worse than being awoken at 3am by a divebombing bat around your head.

Oooh yes! The tabby cat in my siggy is a demon hunter. She has bought me the following gifts:

weasels (twice! Alive and very very cross!)
Rabbits
Snakes (grass snakes)
Lizards (very rare and gettin rarer

Voles
Rats
Mice
Assorted birds

Squirrel

When I hear her coming in through the cat flap with that muffled meow I get VERY nervous!

pheasants, i had one the use to bring them home alive, dragging them down the field

the pheasant farmer/shooters wasn't to impressed, we would have to take them back when no one was looking

We had a cat who once managed to bring in a full grown male pheasant into the house, her route involved jumping on to a 6ft fence, on to the conservatory roof, onto the window ledge and then up through the top window. We do not know how she managed it but there was no other way she could have got it in the house as she did it over night, and we used to leave the top window open for them to come in and out of.

My mum witnessed the same cat chasing a fox that had a rabbit in its mouth and then a commotion in the trees, and then she came trotting back with a rabbit....strange.

My aunties cat used to bring her home all sorts of weird and wonderful things. Her favourite was Koi Carp from a neighbours pond, needless to say the neighbour was not very pleased

B of F - good point but the cat is an insatiable killer and I did hear it (the weasel that is), making rather a loud screeching sound. Can't say it was squeaking as it was much more piercing than that!

Interesting to hear about the 'trophies' of other cats - amazing!
