Do you have any horsey qualifications?

I won a plastic trophie once at my local riding school when I was 7...

My pony had the prettiest plaits :)

...This makes me qualified in plaits now. Obviously :rolleyes::p

I have a Btec Diploma in Equine Behaviour and Psychology! Years ago I did my British Horse Society Horse Owners Certificates level 1,2 and 3.

Pony Club D test.
NVQ2 Horse Care
and Ride and Road safety.

I would like to do another course like my NVQ, but something I can do as an at home thing or around work, but cant really find anything suitable.

BHS Riding and Road Safety (out of date - I did it years ago).
BSc (Hons) Equine Studies.

Useful - I work with pensions.

Having said that, fingers crossed - my degree is potentially about to serve me very well. I'm sure there'll be a post soon if things work out and I'll be praising my degree no end! ;)

Pony Club B test
BHSAI

Listed in order of difficulty - the AI was a piece of p*ss in comparison to the B test which I think is a positive reflection on the standard of my Pony Club instructors/examiners.

Fat lot of good either of them have done me career wise!

Bsc (hons) Equine Science - no use at all, have worked in financial services since graduating (10 years ago), but had a bloody good time getting my "life qualifications" when I was at Uni ;);)

Just AI and II. Only did them for the SM side of things.

Both of which are worth diddly squat to me now, and holding them has never, ever had any influence on my getting a horse related job in the past (and I've had quite a few) because I never mentioned having them. I actually loathe and detest teaching riding

Why does Shills never, EVER answer her own question on these threads??

Go on Shills, answer it - and properly, not just "Oh, one or two, nothing much".

*meaningful look*

An MDMU (Masters Degree in Mucking Out, 2:1), DIPP (Diploma in Poo Picking), a few bravery awards for broken body parts (incl one Gold star from a casualty nurse), one PADHBA (Patience Award Despite Horse Being Arse), and one from OH entitled BUWMWHH (Blocking Up the Washing Machine With Horse Hair)

Excellent! We have the same ones :D :D :D

Does being told that 'one is certifiable' by a qualified medical person count?:D:D:D. I think he was referring to me lying in hospital bed with a broken back and asking when I could get back on

Oh, and I have some PC ones, but can't remember what, as the memories are lost, way back in the mists of Time.

I've got an HND in Yard Sweeping
NVQ level 3 in Muckheap Management
PHD in Poo Picking - I got an honours at degree level for this which is why I progressed to do the PHD. If successful, which I probably will be as I appear to be the only person on the course putting the work in, I may progress to do my Doctorate next year.......after that, who knows - the world is my wheelbarrow.
