OK, over the last few months I have worked really hard to improve my horse, and everyone on here must know that to get results you have to put work in. I don't have any transport so can't compete but I'm hoping to get out to at least one or two shows or dressage competitions by the end of the season (even if its only something low key at a local livery yard). I'm getting some wonderful results from my horse which is making me really happy and even more focussed. But from all the non-horsey people I work with I'm being told "Don't you think you should broaden your horizons?!" or "Don't you think you should try something new?!" Well, if I had the time and the money I probably would. But I felt really very insulted today when someone said "Don't you have anything else in your life?" I have a dog that I have shown this year winning several classes. I work. My horse is the biggest and most fullfilling part of my life, why would I want to and why should I broaden my horizons????
So my question is... Do you do anything else besides your horses??? This question is aimed at those who keep their horse on a budget and work fulltime (in my case 3 jobs to keep my horse!!!! Don't I have enough to do???!!! There's no one else to do the house work or gardening either as I live alone!)
THANKS PEEPS JUST NEEDED TO GET IT OFF MY CHEST!!! Just had a thought, maybe they're jealous, I live alone, not interested in being in a relationship, I've recently lost nearly 4st and all I want is my horse and he makes me sooooooo happy!!! What else could a horsy girl ask for????????
