in your horses fields?
last year someone did sledge in one of my fields where my horses were and upset them all.
well today i got down there and found people sledging in my field (3 adults and 4 kids). They said they didnt know they werent allowed (private land), that theyd just got the snow all nice and compact and slippy! (great just what I want with horses in the field - thanks) and didnt seem bothered that there were horses in the field and that they might get upset and bolt. They said that there werent any in the field - told them that id left them in there late this morning, so id bet they were still in there. They were a bit shocked when I started clicking and all my 5 horses came galloping over!
When i told them they were trespassing and I wouldnt be liable for any damage my horses may do they soon packed up and started to leave. Then the woman got really shirty with me and said that horses needed shelter in this weather - told her they had free access to the stables if they wanted them. She then said horses shouldnt have snow on their backs - yeah thats why they are all rugged up.
so what would you have done? do you allow people to sledge in the field with your horses? granted it does look good fun
