I'm a hard and horrid dog owner.... my two lurchers and JRT do not have coats . And as Sophie has been digging herself holes in the snow to lie in I don't think she feels the cold much! :D

Here is mine in her weatherbeeta by Joules
IMAG0177.jpg

Initially did feel almost too embarrassed to take her out in it but I'm so pleased I bought it now. Actually don't walk her in it all the time but she has to sit in my car sometimes while I'm teaching and it has been well below freezing during the day in the last couple of weeks

Pip has a coat for walking to the chase and then it comes off while she runs round and then it goes back on to walk home. Just because otherwise she jibbers as she doesn't carry a lot of weight and lives next to the radiator at home. But we have baby in a backpack so don't have to carry it. :D

Excuse me while I chortle smugly; dog currently flaked out on the bare kitchen floor in front of the icy-cold draught from the back door, and who can frequently be observed to lie sizzling in snowdrifts. :p

Yes I do.

The Dobie has no fat or fluff to keep her warm, and is naturally a wimp, so she wont step outside without hers on, and often has to wear it inside at night too.

The fluffy Collie has a fleece put on when she comes back from a walk, to help her dry off quickly.

Dobermann has a jacket for outside and a jumper for inside as she feels the cold.

GSP has no clothes of any sort- he is a 'hot' dog anyway and also rips jackets off as soon as they are put on so we don't bother!

Rough tough working JRT has : 2 fleeces (1 equafleece..£26!!!!) and 2 rain coats!

2 old boys have a variety of fleece jumpers and warm rain coats..but they are 17 and 14 so I think it's allowed for them.

Bitch has nothing cos she can't stand being enclosed.

Standard Poodle x ...well lets just say he goes swimming every morning in the Irish Sea..every morning come what may!!! So no coat needed for that one..he spends most evenings flat out on a slate floor against the dog flap so he can get some cool air!!

Whippet..4 rain coats, 2 fleeces and 2 warm fluffy kennel coats!! He shakes even if there is a fraction of cold air!!

The foster staffies have a variety of stretchy fleece coats that can be fitted to most chunky staffy types, they do feel the cold esp as some have been kennelled for a long time. :(

We're currently putting coats on all the rescue dogs as even with heat lamps they must be cold at night. :(

Lil has a coat, she seems to feel the cold, but Roly the broken coated one despises the strangeness of wearing clothes, so despite him having a rambo fleece...we wears nothing..!!

My GSP has a Mark Tood waterproof with a refective strip, he has worn it a few times so people can see him when driving onto the yard. But he doesnt need it to keep warm, On the odd snow day when he's been at the yard for hours and stops running around we might pop it on.

My Boxer has the same Mark todd coat for when it rains, a weatherbeeta fleece for the coat dry days and we got him a rambo fleece the other day as he's had the wb for years and its starting to strink.
He wears his coat everyday at the yard when its cold, he gets cold easy and depressed.

Poppy has a whole wardrobe

She has a fleece lined cord jacket, for chilly dry days. Then she has a lightweight shower proof neoprene coat for chilly showery days. Then she has a Danish Design 2 in 1 coat - waterproof with a detachable fleece lining - which she wears on wet days. And a hi vis vest which is big enough to fit over whatever coat she's wearing

She is a total wimp - even wearing her warmest coat, she still has to be dragged out on her morning walk  :D

I think if i tried to walk mine in a coat then it would end up in shreds in the first hedge :(

They do have coolex for as soon as we get back in from walks until they're dry, which we are upgrading to hotter dogs at christmas :D

Yeah they have a wardrobe, a rain mac, a fleece coat that double up as pjs, and a winter waterproof coat. My mum is also going to knit them some jumpers :)

beastie in her new equifleece tankie - we've had almost 2 weeks of minus drastic up here so she's always in it when we're out doing ponies. She is a cold tattie tho - no undercoat. (sleeps in the middle of the superkingsize bed at night I confess...)

Dunno if I can still remember how to put pics on - not been on in a while...

I'm too scared to leave mine in their coats unsupervised, I'm worried they'll hang themselves...!

Ditto this! My staffy is an absolute pansy and shivers even at home. At the yard last night he had a thick fleece on and a padded wax jacket!! He was still shivering..although possibly because he insisted on sitting on the concrete and not on the rug I put down for him!
He gets cold at night too, and I would like to leave his fleece on but I am so worried he will hang himself or something..

I do! I have a little chihuahua and she has a range of coats. She does get cold very easily and she loves coming to the yard etc.
However none of the 'horsey' make dog coats fit her :(

My older dog has an equifleece Hi viz coat when he is in and around the yard and at night he has a Hotter dog coat that covers his front legs as he has Arthritis of his left elbow and he does live out side (Does not like staying in) The pups x2 do not have coats.

They all live out in a kennel that is dry and warm.

My lurcher is a yard dog but he really hates the cold and spends more time in the office next to the heater than on the yard. Atm he's wearing an equafleece with a blizzard coat on top. His feet have to be plastered in vaseline or they get burnt by the ice and snow, and he has what looks like frostbite on the ends of his ears .

I have a padded grey danish design
A black danish design one that you can take the fleece out of as and when
A hurtta rain coat, really lovely coat but I had to adjust it on the belly because it was a bit big, other than that it doesn't move

Hyperdrug seem to be reasonable on most things, they have the weatherbeeta landa deluxe which is the one I was looking at, I ended up getting the danish design one, you can get them in countrywide stores now which is good, no postage !
