Do you think this horse is greying out & what colour? pics

I had my Prince Charming for 3 days now and I would put money on the fact that he's going grey! I swear he wasn't this grey 3 days ago. He does seem to be losing (what little he has) of his winter coat. Could this be a summer roaning - if there is such a thing! I don't want a grey waaaaaaaa! Any ideas on colour too please. He's 4 in May - is that a little too late to be displaying signs of greying out?
Oooh and if you have any idea at all of what breed he may be I would be greatful of guesses. I think there's a bit of NF in there somewhere.

Nothing like pulling a little bit of mane and sending it for testing. Its very inexpensive and you'll know for sure if your horse is a grey - and if it is and you really don't want a grey, then you can sell him now and not spend any more money on him.

No, your horse wont go completely grey. The brown bits will go roan by the looks of it but thats all

No hes def not a bay roan, they look completely different. I dont think hes greying out either. I just think hes got white flecking through his coat....there is some technical name for it, which im sure someone will come along & tell you what it is shortly.

I have a colored pony too and when he molts he goes he goes grey almost roany like yours, but this is only as he loses the winter coat (he has no grey in the winter other than the white patches) and when his full summer coat comes though he has none of the roan look about him.
I dont know if that makes sense?!?

Being an olde-fashionede type who thought white hairs mixed through was always either "roan" or "roan in patches" I looked it up. Pangare?

No, hes deffinitely not roan, they look completely different, as ive already said.

This chap at the top is a bay roan, so as you can see a big difference between the 2.

Sorry, I seem to be a bit deaf today.

Not grey as they tend to get 'goggles' around the eyes early on in the greying out process.

Not a true Roan either.

He is a bay Tobiano and definitely has flecking. Does he have white hairs at the top of his tail? Is the flecking mainly on his flanks?

Nell's summer coat has grey flecking through all of it, think they call it blagdon in her case, but in the winter you cannot see it, she does have some white and flaxen colours in her tail too, she is rising 4 and not greying out

What a lovely attitude to have towards a horse...

Plenty of horses needing homes. If your horse isn't what you want, you should find another one. Can't see whats so shocking about that...

ETA: I never bought a horse because of its color, its not an issue for me - I am more interested in knowing if the horse can do the job it's meant for or not - but for some people color is an issue, and the original poster clearly stated she didn't want a grey horse.

Just to put the cat amongst the pigeons...this is my 14 year old BAY tobiano. Apparently he has a brown face with a big white blaze

The ONLY time you can see where his brown patches were, is (oddly) in autumn when starts to lose his summer coat. You can also see them vaguely when he is soaking wet! This is the end of last summer...for about 2 weeks you can see where his markings were. The rest of the time he is nearly pure white!

Rabincano bay tobiano

Rabicano is one possibility. Hopefully the OP will let us know RE the top of the tail and the flecking on the flanks. The other possibility is Sabino (sometimes called Blagdon), although it is thought that Rabicano is a form of sabino.

Absolutely no greying round eyes or head area. There is quite a bit on the rump close to the tail but no grey tail hair

The thing to remember with grey, is that one (or both) of the parents must be grey. If neither parent is grey, then the foal/offspring is not grey.
