Random one,

My friend and I are on 5/2 livery, she also works 8-10am Mon-Fri at or yard.

MY lovely friend has offered to muck out my boy Sat&Sun in return for me skipping/feeding him on an afternoon/evening.

I don't feel like she is getting a fair swap but she reasoned it by saying that an extra stable is nixy to her but not having to come back later is great for her (she has a family and lives across town).

Not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth (I have a really bad back) but is it fair?

i would gladly do an extra box in the morning rather than have to do the evening shift!!!Nothing worse than getting in and not being able to properly stop because you know you have to go back out later.

If she is happy then it is fair.

I share with a friend. We both do mornings, mucking out, turning out feeding etc.

Later afternoon I bring both in and do feet, rug changing and feeding.

Friend turns up later and skips out and puts in haynets.

We also cover for one another when emergencies dictate. We don't keep a running list of you did this and I did that, we just get on with what ever needs doing.

Works for us.

Jane

Ditto this! Spesh if it's easier for both parties that way

If you consider the time it would take her away from her family etc and going to and from yard, she obviously values this and is more than happy.
If it was me in her position, I would be delighted to muck out one extra box (takes less time than going back to yard later), in return for horse being fed.

It suits you both, so simply be happy :)

yeah doing one box extra would maybe take 20 mins ! Sounds like that would be just her journey one way in the evening - Fair swap to me !! :-)

I would more than gladly swap and do someones evening jobs if some one will do the morning shift for me - starting tomorrow anyone ????
