We're hoping ours will be out until the start of November. It usually depends on how wet it gets - last year wasn't so great but the year before that my Arab was still out at night without a rug on in mid-November.
nope at the moment its still end of oct that hes goin in still rugless at night might start wearing his lightweight soon but horsecrazy dont you dare make those little shetlands go in early!!!!
If i had my way he'd be out 24/7 a bit longer as he has access to stable anyway, but yo wants them coming in and staying in at nights soonish probably end sptember ish.
This makes me feel like a bad Mum!!!
Mine is a 2 yr old Thoroughbred just come up from a racing yard so had a huge lifestyle change in four days and is now out 24hrs without a rug!! He's been fine so far. He's not complained anyway. I am wanting to leave him out until end of October - might be ambitious but he can go out with a medium rug on, he'll be fine! I hope!!!![]()
I usually try and eek it out until the end of October, just after bonfire night! That's if the ground holds out that long! At the mo it os ok, but we are on heavy clay here, so as soon as it gets really wet if it's before the end of Oct, they will be in!
I got their stables ready last weekend, I love doing that bit, all fresh new straw! (God am i sad?)!

mine are in at night all year anyway
Ours will be out 24/7 with free access to their stables to come and go as they please.
My TbXId is in at night and out for a few hours in the day and my 2 ex racers (one recently retired and one having a year off) Are out with l/ws and will be wintering out this year for the first time evrUnless I feel bad and bring them in with lots of rugs and big fluffly beds!

mine have been in at night all year.
curently wrapped in thermatex's, full nexk mediums, and leg wraps. be gone oh thoughts of growing winter coats........
Mine's in tonight, vet just left, bloody leg infection from brand new field wraps - not to let the clique down!!
God knows. Vet thinks she may have had a brushing injury I didn't see and then put them on her, allowing infection to fester or she's kicked herself and bruised causing an odaema or she's damaged a tendon. Coming back first thing to see what the antiinflam injection has left us with.
I put them on her as a new livery was causing her to hoon around so I put them on in case she injured herself = spot the irony!
