While they pretty much like all dogs, I've noticed that Stella and Prince have their preferences. Stella seems to gravitate towards JRTs, Bulldogs and enormous yet docile Mastiff types, whereas Prince loves his hyperactive Pit Bulls, Bull terriers and Labradors.

Do yours show breed preferences?

My bulldog tends to love small dogs although his greetings can overwhelm them and my bullmastiff just loves everyone and everything.

Aw that is an awesome pic - snouty nosed kisses! :D

Like yours, mine get on with nearly all dogs and love a good party, but for some reason, Pads has taken to hating a local male boxer who he has never played with but occasionally passes on a footpath near the house when both on lead.

Not sure if the fact they are on leads has anything to do with it, but understandably his owner is reluctant to let them off together incase Pads follows out his rather nasty threats to kill him - he's not like this with any other dogs/bitches though

Tyson loves a good collie!

...the right kind of temprement to put up with being bounced all over, but will put him in his place when he takes it too far :p and they can match him hoon for hoon too :D

She most definitely prefers her own kind - no-one else plays rough enough. :o

Husky play looks very aggressive to outsiders; it's noisy, involves biting, faux-dominant rearing up/standing on/pawing/jumping over and all takes place at 100mph. She is slowly learning to show restraint around smaller dogs but will leap all over a nervous one with no idea of how to read social cues.

She does definitely prefer dogs to bitches, whether they're neutered or not.

Obligatory video time! This is with a male malamute, both on-lead, and they'd been going like this for... pretty much three hours straight, with the odd enforced break for water.

This is why Abe gravitates towards the husky's!

He'll play with anyone but if he sees a husky in the park thats who he really wants to play with.

Can you ship him over here? :p The only others I've found that tolerate it is my friend's collie, who has grown up with a husky and thinks he is one, and mollichop's Paddy who bore all the neck-mauling with good grace!

Very much so! My Lab small terriers and has a weakness for JRTs. She definitely prefers dogs to bitches and, if they are not little terriers, she likes them big and black! The only dogs she doesn't like are boxers.

Prince would love that :D He may resemble a pudgy teddy bear, but he loves to play rough (the bigger and wilder the dog, the better).

Stella enjoys a concerted hoon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DivAH_TgXgE

And with a group of BTs, you could harness their energy to heat several thousand homes :D

B likes fellow GSDs (but not white ones :o) and Staffie types.
Nothing too skinny or spotty (aliens from another planet) or small and fluffy (lunch!)
His arch enemies are a whitey and a Dobe :p

St Sweep loves other spangles but generally to old to do anything but tootle around now with dogs who say hello then leave him alone. Mad Max on the other hand thinks everyone and everything is his friend and loves a good rough noon - running circles with Davy the whippet is a gave:rolleyes: and he adores Hector and Paddy - even if he doesn't understand what they are chasing......:D

Mine all hate Collies, spaniel types and Labs for some reason. They detest Westies...which luckily cos I live in a very rural area we have few of!! Suppose it might be because I don't like any of those breeds?? They love staffies cos I foster so have hundreds through the doors and they love any scruffy type dog. Not exactly sure why!! All the boys are fine with any breed of bitch but if another dog tries to mess with the pack then we have trouble!! If my 1 and only bitch decides she doesn't like something then the boy's won't either..they will not disobey their queen after all!!!:D

Herman hates collies with a passion - he's only ever properly met 3 and they all went for him (one even in OUR garden while he was pottering about minding his own business!) so now he won't even entertain the idea a collie might be friendly

If he notices another Weim (which round here is pretty much daily!) then he is convinced he knows them...even if we've never met them. Also a big fan of dalmations but his girlfriend is a dottydog and I think he thinks they're all Maisie.

BC, I think Herman would love Dax - he claims that is an acceptable form of playing too

Winston loves black male labradors too much.
He humps them, usually their heads and sides. He turns into a right horney beast

Mac the lab when he was a pup was attacked by a German sheperd, Akita, very bad attack :( and collie. Because of that both him and Ronnie the Goldie don't like any of those breeds.

Mac, even though he's been done, has a thing for yellow lab bitches. Has to be restrained if ones around otherwise he uses his new hips to full capacity :O hehe

Pixel, cocker puppy, seems to prefer dark coloured dogs to light. Don't know why, I would of thought with only being able to see shadows and lights, a white dog would be better :S who knows!

But it definately seems to follow that they all prefer there own breed. Pix loves spangles best :D then again who wouldn't :P

Yes, border collies, he adores them after he made good friends with one.
So now any sight of a collie = lots of prancing about and squeaking.

The greyhound girlies love other sighthounds of course, they have taste :D They do home in to other greyhounds of course :)

They also like CKCS (to play with :p) much to my mum's horror, but they are actually all really good with the little darlings now and wouldnt dream of beating them up :):):)

Our collie x terrier type seems to have something against your toy breeds especially papillions, chihuahas, and fluffy white things! lol. He tends to prefer the tough terrier/cross breeds but he can still be picky and annoyingly we never quite know what dogs he will take a dislike to. We have a dog who lives up the street who our dog just thinks is the bees knees - dunno why, he's a collie and our dog (Sox) gets so excited and giddy when he sees him. Odd dog!

Our GSD x is a bit of a wimp - she loves dogs who understand her rough and tumble games but there's a group of 4 GSDS that are walked on the same walks she goes on on occasion and she gives them a real wide berth (ie in the field with a hedge between them! ha ha). She is very scared of them but I think it's more cos they are very big and overpowering!
