do your horses share rugs or each have their own set?

Mine are different sizes but even if they were the same size they would have their own rugs.

I do however only have one thermatex which they share as its not an everyday rug so will only get used if needed if that makes sense
 
Mine share. If it fits they wear it :D

That also goes for tack, grooming kits and stables.
 
Everything share-able is shared :D Unfortunately, Reg is a 17hh giant and Smokey is a 15.2hh midget, so not much can be shared.
 
They share. Luckily Roo usually needs the 'next stage up' of rug from Pink so, for example, when she's in a middle weight standard neck, he'll have his full neck MW on. I've got duplicate of some rug types but they're all shared. Thankfully they're the same size!
Piper has all Roo's outgrown rugs too.
 
They all share ancillaries, not tack. Rugs easy to share because need different weights so where fat pony might be naked, TB has sheet and the ex racer will have a light weight, then they all move up or down depending on the weather lol.
 
My two that are the same size share most things. I do have duplicate of some things if they need to wear them at the same time; exercise sheets, lightweight turnouts, bridles, etc.
 
Generally they have their own wardrobe even though they are the same sort of size, they are generally in similar rugs at the same time. I keep my mare's stuff more seperate while my sister's boys share a lot more.
I have seperate grooming stuff and sister just has one set for both of hers and tack - they have their own but can share if needed, eg I'll use my saddle if riding my sister's horse, they're both treeless but I prefer mine so makes no odds to the horse and I'm more comfortable.
 
Ours are completely different sizes so don't share - however if they were the same they would probably each have their own wardrobe :o My late gelding was 3" bigger rug-wise than my mare, so although they didn't share when he was around, she does wear a few of his nicer fleeces from time to time.

Generally have there own but Im not bothered if they end up sharing!
Brushes etc are shared and matchy and saddles are shared though I'm hoping that they can have 2 x saddles each once I've saved a bit more
 
They share in that everything comes out of the same pool but I often find one is a slightly better fit for one, in which case they end up with the same one every day.
 
share everything bar turnout rugs.... even thought one is 15.3 and the other 17.3
we squash into some things and other things hang off the back end!
they live together so if one was ill the other would be to!!!!
 
Ive got 5 ranging from a donkey to a 17hh ID x !! All different sizes so each have their own rugs. I have brushes for each one but don't use them. Just usually use a couple between them. They all have their own headcollar and for the ones that get ridden and the retired ones, they have their own tack aswell. I just like spending money on my ponies!!
 
Mine are the same size but don't share anything because as we all know, you can never have enough rugs, saddle cloths, bridles, bandages or boots :D
 
In my country the vast majority of horses are sold with just a headcollar. No tack or accessories usually go with the horse so most people have lots of tack/rugs that fit more than one horse. People here often have many more than just one or two horses so it's common to share stuff between their horses.

Mine all have their own turnout rugs but if one dies or is sold and leaves then it's rug is recycled and either kept as a spare or given to someone else if their rug is better than the one on another horse. I have two lots of sizes of rugs, the ones for the big WBs and TBs and they all fit in each others rugs to a certain degree, and then I have all the AQHA/APHAs who all wear the same size rugs. So I can interchange rugs within both groups. The foals/weanlings/yearlings have their own rugs but once they are sold again these rugs are reused for the next years youngsters.

All brushes and any accessories are shared. Tack is all shared between certain similar build horses. I have enough saddles and bridles that I can always find one that fits a number of horses.

All of my horses have their own headcollars.
 
Thanks everyone, I too have horses that need different weight rugs, so for example if i bought 2 mediumweights, one would always be out of use anyway, they do have their own on the whole though, but will let them share spares/double-ups :)
 
Kelsey has her own, but I've had her 12 yrs, so she's been spoilt! Sam borrowed some of hers last winter when he was the same size but now he's out grown them and trashed them too, so they've had to get new rugs!
 
Mine do - but not heavy turnouts as they are turned out at the same time :D. 3" diff in sizes, and one finer/less hardy than the other so she usually gets the heavier/warmer coat. Share brushes, but not tack. My daughter & I ride together, so would be difficult!
