Scout was playing with Pen on Friday and suddenly stopped. Was obviously in pain. Was sick. Walked home, a bit quiet but normal. Poos ok etc. Fine later.
Saturday morning. Walking happily. Stopped. Sick again.
Saturday night, asked to go out, sick.
I had decided vet on Monday, assuming no worse but then lay awake worrying about him last night. He’s never sick. He can eat anything 🤢.
His pulse, mucous membranes etc have been fine throughout.
This morning, right as rain (phew). Out for a walk and he did this…. Thank goodness he got it out unaided.
The missing hanky mystery!

One of our shepherds once, unbeknownst to us, raided mum's outdoor bin when they were visiting.

I found out when she passed a very uncomfortable poo. it had half a squashed can in there. All bent over and very sharp.

There was only a little blood...

She was fine. How, I do not know, but she was fine.

Rock hard, that bitch was!

You have reminded me

We got our lab x cocker at 10 moths old. He ate and destroyed anything and everything.
Every morning there was a shredded bed.
One morning there was less bed than there should have been.

Icky spoiler, if you want to read it.

Luckily he grew out of eating strange stuff because we didn’t find a cure.

We had a worrying 24 hours with our previous dog, bloated tummy and seeming very subdued. I'd actually phoned for a vet appointment when he pooped out a plastic carrier bag! Phoned the vet back to say I didn't think we needed the appointment any more, receptionist was laughing so hard she could hardly talk...

I thought it was bowel too! Ugh. Glad things are ok now.
He was squatting in front of me and I was planning getting next doors ‘mule’ and loading him up and getting him to the vet before he died. Then I thought on the whole he was pretty bright if he was actually shedding his bowel. I tend to catastrophise!

OMG. I would have freaked seeing that coming out.
Very glad he is ok Clodagh.

I've lost count of all the things the Weims have eaten and pooped out over the years but the most unnerving was a length of rainbow coloured string that I had to help along with a bit of a tug. God knows where it came from, but it was probably quite pretty when not covered in poo

I showed mum. She said she’s glad it’s not just Ellie.

Not long after she went to live at mums, I got a panicked phone call. Elles had been sick, and it looked wrong. I went round, and I thought it looked like intestine. Are we all so dramatic? Closer inspection showed a pair of knickers she’d taken off the airer.

Just tell me you didn't scrape off the excess and pop it in the washing machine for re-use.
