Of any transport companies that are willing to move my horse a mere 5 miles from farnham to goldalming? asap probably this friday as i need to get him out of a nasty situation urgently. If you haven't read my previous posts he is generally not being looked after and i'm really worried for his safety. Thanks boys and girls, now don't let me down you've all been so helpful and it looks like he is at least nearly safe. Thank you for all your effort and support.

Is there anyway you can hack that distance. I hack to shows that distance

Before the teenage dirtbag had him yes i probably could have but after seeing him on sunday with a prospective buyer trying to ride him out probably not. it seems that the horrid child that has had him on loan and seriously battered his confidence and he spends more time going backwards than forwards and as i haven't ridden in nearly 2 years not really sure if i'm up to the job and i now have a son to consider so if i do end up wearing the road surface as a body ornament and get seriously hurt who would look after my boy? Have never even fallen off him before but i have no idea what this girl has done to him and not sure if i want to risk it, if i was a better rider i would happily do it, but unfortunately i'm not!!

no one to borrow a 4x4 from and no way i'm conmpetent enough to drive one anyway!! We have considered the whole walking thing but i might have my 15 month old with me and as he has only just learnt to walk i think it might be askng too much of him!

I know of a good transporter based in Newmarket, although she has employees all over so they will cover your area but she charges £150 per transport, highly recommend her though. I used her to travel 5 miles too, a lot of money for such a short distance but had no other option!

Thanks for all the advice. I think i'm going to have to con my poor husband to walk with me while i ride him and find a babysitter for my son. He should be alright if he has someone to walk with him if not oh well s*** happens.

Id give yourself an hour and a half if its flat. Will someone need to walk back again to pick up a car at the old place?

I ride a 5 mile circuit and with a tiny bit of trot it takes me an hour and 20 mins. I would say you should do it in an hour and a half no sweat!

Did about 7 miles on saturday moving my coblet, took 2 hours at a steady walk and did stop a few times for him as it was hot, i rode him for about 30 mins at the start then cos hes not fit i got off and walked the rest with him.

If I was closer to you I would of led him for you hun x

Take it you've managed to sort something out for him then? Glad you've managed to get him off the loaner, hope it all works out for you x
