Years ago my long suffering vet having just dodged yet another attempt by my mare to annihalate him suggested I sell her - I took this OK as she was a very opinionated mare and a real sook.
Eventually I did sell her and passed onthe good news - he was so releived until I told him that the new owners were clients of his. Poor vet.
He was a great vet though and I learnt so much from as he was always happy to discuss any veterinary issue you wanted information about. He also recognised that as grooms we got a lot of experience dealing with all the injuries/ailments that you find in big yards and treated you with great respect. He once said to me after he had stitched a wound "You bandage the horse as you do a far better job than I do"
