so...

...my and a friend (dobbin27) are on a mission to get our buttocks in gear and start riding properly (properly meaning regularly and in my case without plopping my pants)

so... we are going to start hacking out, schooling and are off to HorseCamp in the summer.

however, we're really keen to book ourselves some lessons on, um, different horses (both ours are very unfit, and i spend so much time and effort trying to get raff moving forwards that i can't concentrate on me...).

does anyone know of a decent riding school in the cambridgeshire/lincolnshire area? meadowbrook has been recommended but they currently only have one horse.. and we want a joint lesson.

horse wise, it'd be nice to ride something safe (in my case, it really does have to be safe) but not a total riding school plod (i am NOT critisizing riding school plods... but if i wanted a plod, i'd ride raff...). we want to work on our basics (seat etc)

so, basically, can anyone recommend a school/instructor where they have at least 2 decent but safe horses where we can book a few lessons (one a month?) in the cambridgeshire/lincolnshire area (can travel to a degree)...

any ideas?

Totally recommend Meadowbrook, could you not hack Raff down there as your second horse? You can always nick one of mine for the second horse.

he'd be dead by the time he got there... i could box him down but think i need a few lessons on something that isn't such hard work (i am beetroot head after 5 mins)... so i can concentrate on my riding.

oh, also, meadowbrook has waiting list.... eek!

gah... i was so proud of myself for actually committing to having a lesson...

Mind blowing?!.. I very much doubt it'll take mind blowing to kick my backside!!

I have soooo many bad habits and faults I think even an instructor with no eyes will have a total field day tearing me to shreds!! And if it's me and Wellie, crikey.. They'll due laughing!!

Am relying on them having clever horses to make me look slightly less pants!!

A bit out of touch re the instructor's they have now. There was a girl called Emma there who did BE eventing, but not sure if she's still there.
