does this annoy anyone else

i doesn't annoy me one bit why would it ? people can go wherever they want to, i often go racing with my my friends who don't ride and they love it. you don't need to ride to enjoy horsey sports

no not at all.
we had a older couple infront of us at the Olympics. they didn't understand what was going on and what all the dressage score meant but they loved it.
was really nice to see!

Nope doesn't annoy me unless they are one of those people who sit and just drink and annoy their brats that are kicking my chair

As others have said- I hate playing football but enjoy watching it- would go to the team who I supports stadium if it were nearer

I enjoy watching f1 but I have never driven an f1 car

I have never, and never intend to, dived off a diving board but I enjoy watching it (aka perving at the fit men :p )

As a concert pianist myself, I find it terribly irksome when plebs who don't know one end of an oboe from the other dare to pitch up and listen to my fab virtuoso performances with their grubby little ears.
How very dare they. *

*I can only play chopsticks

No it doesn't annoy me! I love how much my friend appreciate the beauty of my horse despite never having ridden in their life!

Ok I have a confession to make! I really love darts, but can I play it no and I've never even tried, I also don't have a beer belly and wear loads of gold jewellery :)

I was just thinking earlier today that we haven't had any trolls for a little while.

OP you aren't a hoot... You are a dull and predictable troll. Please be more imaginative next time! :P

No, non horsey people backing the industry do not bother me at all.

What really annoys me when I have paid to enjoy a horsey event like Cheltenham/Burghley/Olympia are the annoying horsey people stood behind me saying:

"Oh my god, that was hairy, she didn't ride the Trout Hatchery very well"

"Yeah, Denman is nice, but my horse Floss is much more handsome..."

"Oh my god dis you see John Whitaker take that stride out, wow, bad riding. Did I tell you I had a lesson on my horse last night, we jumped 1.30m. OMG yeah he was amazing, he could jump this track."

And of course the really horsey people that go to horsey events dressed as horsey as possible, smothered in horse poo just so you know that they are so totally horsey...

I agree with all of this . . . except the last sentence/paragraph . . . I frequently go to local ODEs straight from the yard so am in jods and muck boots and probably have hay and straw in my hair :(.

Doesn't bother me at all but I do laugh inside when I see people at big equine events dressed in beautiful clean jodhpurs or polished riding boots even though they are not riding....I guess I could be just judgemental and maybe they are some famous show jumper who just happens to come in the main entrance with a ticket and queue did the public loos like everyone else? :-)

it really annoys me when people who have never even sat on a horse before go to horse shows like Olympia

or when they go horse racing!

why do they go they have never ridden a horse they have no idea so why go ?

is it just me that really gets annoyed?

No, it's one of my major annoyances too. Sometimes, I lie awake at night just being angry about non riders going to events. I mean, who do they think they ARE?
In fact, I was just about to come and post this very thread myself, but you saved me the trouble. Thanks!

(:rolleyes3:)

I thought the schools were back already? Or is troll school different?

When I was watching dressage at Badminton last year, there was a lady sat in front of us who kept saying things like 'oh that was awful' and 'they'll get badly marked for that' and even 'that's wrong BD rules state advertising on tack blah blah blah' (that was directed at Michael Jung! Plus it's an international event. When she starting harping on about William Fox Pitt's flying change being 'awfully rushed' I was like Err excuse me? That's why they're the ones competing and YOU'RE a spectator?!?
She soon shut up. But my God it was irritating! (I'm certainly no dressage pro, but still!)
