I am looking to buy a trailer at the moment. I found one on the internet that was quite near me but didn't give many details so phoned up to ask for more info about it. The seller was a bit vague, I told him I am looking at a few others and want to think about it and he hung up.
Then today he called me to ask if I was still interested in his trailer. I asked him for some more info so he described it a lot better this time! It sounded quite good so I asked if I could come and see it. Then the awkward bit, he didn't want to give me the address of where it is! He said to ring as I was setting off and he would give me directions? This seemed quite odd to me, I would much rather know beforehand so I can work out the best route to get there. Also he didn't give me an exact tiem to come, just said in the evening. All very vague. Also the trailer is in a different place to where originally advertised.
Does this all sound a bit dodgy to you? I did wonder if prehaps he didn't want to give me the trailers address in case I might come and steal it! But the way he was speaking makes me worried that prehaps the trailer is already stolen? Certainly it didn't seem to add up. It is advertised fairly cheaply, it is quite old but he claims it's been completely refurbished. Am worried about going now, certainly don't want to go on my own and not sure if it's really worth going at all. Is there any legitiamte reason he would act like this? Am I just being over-cautious or should I leave well alone? Any advice greatly appreciated!
