My old boy was a race horse years ago. He put his foot in a hole and stumbled just before the winning line (he was winning) the jockey fell off and they slide over the line still in front, they called him the winner but lost the race later due to the jockey not on board crossing the line. Some years later he was on question of sport, what happened next.

His name was Rubika. We where just watching the program when they showed it, we could not believe what we were watching and that he was on TV. Bless his sole i lost him 2 yrs ago an old man.

My horse now, don't know if its a claim to fame or not but he was Ouija boards lead horse. He is also in the book Lord derby wrote, it's on the centre page working up sides her and he also gets a mention in a few places in the book.

My magnus has many claims to fame as he always knows how to ruin a moment and has taken part in many local carnivals etc but his best was he went to London for the Queen Mothers 100th birthday parade to represent the national trust with our three other horses, anyway after much hilarity of him being in the city and confused, in the middle of the Mall, with lost of people watching and people behind him, he did the biggest wee in the world! And as a 3/4 shire thats pretty big!

Me and my pony were on the front of a leaflet about Halton's Bridlepaths. I didn't even though the picture had been taken, I was shocked when I found the leaflet!

Yes that was my baby. I lead him up in the Grand national and when the owner retired him 2 yrs later he gave him to me as my Christmas present.

Remember that programme 'The Last Hunt'? Remember the bay being ridden in hiviz just before/after the ad breaks? That was me on the mare I used to own.....

Well, we were at a community show and asked if we could have the original, or a copy. So the lady took my name and address and a few weeks later I got a letter in the post - an application form for something to do with local parks, she'd obviously got mixed up. Oh well.

It was a minor miracle she just ambled down the road TBH. Normally she'd have tried to decant/kill/rear me off or have napped horribly at some imaginary beastie.

They did not tell me they were filming me or ask me if they could feature me either - how rude! I said hello to them as they were stood about - they could easily have asked.....

Oh god here i go again,

i just remembered this one. I had a horse killed with me on the roads in 1995 the idiot just ploughed into the back of me, anyway the BBC where thinking of doing a documentary at the time on horses involved in RTA. They got in touch with me and then went ahead with the documentary. They were so taken with my story and the horse i lost they based the whole thing around him and even name the program after my boy, the program when national. I did not know they where going to name it after my boy until they sent me a copy it. I still have the tape they sent me.

I'll go away now

I sort have two "claims to fame" with my horses!

Firstly - I own an Eriskay, one of the rarest native breeds in Britain, and
Secondly - My mother's horse is a cousin to Downlands Cancara, the Lloyds Bank horse who galloped along the beach.

I'm not sure if either of these really count, but might be interesting?!

Mine has been on crimewatch- he was caught on cctv making off with a haynet from the stable next door. He was swiftly arrested and a stable order was put on him

Ralph was on Animal Hospital with Rolf Harris a couple of times, when he was rescued by the RSPCA

He's also on the Baileys horse of the month as a runner up for June

LMAO Flintus!

In Spain a pic of me jumping Cercs was used on Billboards and all of the advertising for San Roque Club - we have only just been taken off the website as they have completely overhauled it, but last time I looked there was still a big pic of me in the Reception area and in the brochures

Another horse, Lucera, and I were on the front of the promo brochures for El Bosque in Sotogrande, and again, on Billboards.

I was on a Billboard in my bikini LMAO, but no horses in that one
