I'm well aware that people own horses for various reasons; some are for pleasure, some are for competition, some for business, some a mixture of all three. Now I know that I for one will NEVER part with my horse; we've been together nearly a decade now, and have pretty much grown up together. at pony club, when we were about 12, we all said that we'd never sell our ponies/horses, that we'd keep them forever...yet a decade on, i am the only person who still has the same horse. it seems a sentimental thing to say 'my horse has a home for life', but in my case, it is true. other than through death, or by terminating a loan contract, I have never actually had to pass a horse on, so i guess im lucky in this respect. i was just wondering how many people intend to keep their current horse(s) to the end of their days?
