Dizz has developed a white patch under her lip. And now she' developing what looks like a large saddle sore
But the saddle was well fitted and it is really weird for a saddle sore due to its size and location. Saddler is coming out to see it, but it's timing is the same as the strange mark on her lip...

Rosie has a dark birthmark on her flank and a prophets thumb print on her neck....
.... plus a small Shetland pony white hoofprint on her neck which shows up when she's clipped. Yes, someone once kicked her

I think my horse's markings are unusual. Apart from his legs he only has one white splodge on his neck.

Has anyone else got an ID/IDx with a white diamond shaped marking on the shoulder. I have 2 of them - a mare by Flagmount Diamond and a filly whose grand sire is Flagmount Diamond.

Milly has an indentation on her bottom like a thumb print, but bigger, she has had it since i got her. Merlin, my pony who passed away alast month ( the black and white pic in my sig) had a strawberry shaped darl patch on his nose between his nostrils, and was covered in whorls.

I'm no good on uploading photos but my last horse was dark steel grey and he had a large white ring on his rump. Grey on the inside and about 3 inch circumference. Very unusual. At first I thought it was a brand but it wasn't. It wasn't a perfect shape either.

My friend's horse is nicknamed parrotface because her flash looks just like a parrot at the top. (she is skewbald)
Another friend's chstnut has what look like tigerstripes down his flanks.
My old loan mare was black apart from a large flash and tiny little white tufts just above her coronet band on all four legs, they were literally about 1.5 cm accross and they stuck out when the rest of her fur laid flat...

wow my new horse has almost identical mark as original poster on his shoulder where hair is different colour. except Jakes is longer and curves more, never seen anything quite like it before so nice to know he is not the only one

My chestnut Welsh has an acquired mark and my vet and I would love to know the history behind it. He has a scar on his nearside flank from a wound, to quote my vet, "big enough to put your head in". Poor old lad!

My filly has a strange white stripe above her right nostril, it looks like someone wiped a paintbrush on her and the her near hind sock can only be seen from this side it is black on the other side.
