OK, puppy is settling in fine, is sweet and friendly and reasonably easy - although I got her thoroughly over excited the other evening and decided to calm things down a bit since.
BUT I feel terrible, running nose, sore skin around my lips, eyes a bit sore, OH says I look bad, and I have felt like this for a few weeks, off and on. I gererally feel a bit bad and very fed up with the symptoms. My nose is running as I type, nice!
I have never suffered from hay fever and I am beginning to have a worry that I might be allergic to the dog!
I recovered while we were doing silage - with all that pollen about - when I didn't have time to visit the puppy for a couple of weeks and I was pleased to feel better. In fact I remember jumping off the tractor one day and feeling pleased that my "cold" seemed finally to have gone. Since puppy has come I have started to feel bad again.
This afternoon I had a sudden thought and wondered if my "hay fever" is maybe an allergy to the puppy? Yikes.
