Hi, poking my nose in here as a refugee from the Horse section!
Briefly we have an 18 month old JRT, excpet the chances are that he is only half JRT, saw the bitch def a JRT. Father may be a Working Cocker, or given the way he scavenges and eats could be almost anything. Certainly we have never had a JRT that eats like this one, or that has stealthily gained weight either. He is not short of exercise, having land at home with stables, etc etc and he goes out every day for a walk to a new place. But he resembles the one who ate all the pies.
He has had Skinners field and trial, which he likes but evidently isn't working as hard as he needs to for that to be what he stays on when bag ends in about 3 weeks. I have a measured beaker with daily amount in it and he never exceeds it, but he does have a few table scraps for want of a better word but not a lot.
These are now stopped in favour of raw carrot.
I seem to find the Light foods are mostly for seniors, he isn't a senior by any stretch. If possible cereal free is my preference, he has no tummy issues on the Skinners and don't wish to change feed and gain them either.
Any suggestions very welcome! Thank you
