Dog Has Potentially Had a Stroke

So dog finally saw a vet yesterday. They said it could be vestibular or a stroke and aren't giving any medication for it - from some of the replies on here there seems to be a mixture of approaches of using medication or not so I'm hoping that not giving her anything at this point is ok? When mine had vestibular we used medication to improve her QoL for a few more months before we let her go but I'm guessing with this one it might not be one hard rule for it?

The vet did mention quality of life needed to be kept a close eye on and gave the dog an injection to help with arthritis in her hips.

Glad she is now pain free. Fingers crossed for a better outcome.
 
If they had seen her at the beginn8ng they would know which it was. I still find it odd that a vet wasn’t interested in seeing her . If it was vestibular you can tell from their eyes at the beginning, my collies eyes were back to normal after 48 hours nut before were flickering. Just hope the dog is more comfortable now…

Thanks for the update, at least the dog got an injection for the arthritis, so that's something.
