Never had a dog only bitches - what are the pros and cons of each sex in your opinion?

I can't imagine you would have a problem with straying if you go for a cavalier, I've never known of one which has that tendency![]()
I think it's personal preference, I've had 2 dogs and 3 bitches, I prefer my girls, but I have quite a few friends that prefer dogs.
Thanks for that - I would prefer a bitch but there seems to be a waiting list for tri coloured bitches.Lévrier;12681742 said:With cavaliers you really won't notice much differenceThe dogs tend to be more affectionate and reliant on their owners (the archetypal "mummys boys"
) whereas bitches tend to be slightly more self-contained whilst still being loving and cuddly.

One other thing I found quite telling is that when we have been looking at the lab rescue societies for a lab in the past, there are mostly, by a large margin, boys!
